The third car campaigned by Mercedes made to the new safety rules introduced in 2012, the 2014 C-Coupé was a small improvement to the previous car. The biggest change came in its revised aerodynamics as no longer would the car rely on a grille similar to its road going counterpart, instead using more simpler and direct intakes. It still used the same 4.0 Liter V8 that had been in the car since 2012. This particular car was ran by HWA Team, owned by the Company HWA AG as THE Mercedes primary works team, carrying out the development work on the first C-Coupe DTM as well as this one. The addition of this car would bring a more recent DTM car to GT as well as add a another most recent racing machine from Mercedes.

Engine
: 4.0L Naturally Aspirated V8
Horsepower: 500 hp
Transmission: Hewland 6-speed sequential semi-automatic
Weight: 1110 KG
Drivetrain: FWD

Please read the additional guidance on Mercedes models.

Didn't even see that (Of course I haven't put up many Mercedes threads either).

So, would this be considered Mercedes-AMG then?

Edit: Reading it again, I'll just go with "Mercedes Benz" then going off the year. (even though its listed as "AMG Mercedes" as it turns out, which just complicates things more )

The manufacturer name is fine as it was. It's just all the bits after that.

After the manufacturer is the class (C-Class), then the generation (W204 - in parentheses), then the model designation*, then the bodystyle (Coupe). You've got the classstyle (C-Coupe). I mean, that'd be fair enough since that's sort of what Mercedes actually calls it, but it leads to indexing problems when you get what's essentially a racing 2014 C-Class listed right at the start of Mercedes (because they call it the AMG C-Coupe DTM) and not amongst the C-Classes.

Once that's down, it's race series (DTM), team (HWA Team) and, though it's not wholly necessary to get more specific unless you really like, say, Gary Paffett and really hate Paul di Resta, numbers and drivers. Then the year.

So "Mercedes-Benz C-Class (W204) Coupe DTM HWA Team 2014"

* Since this is a race car, the model designation may not apply - I don't think many people care that, for instance, the BTCC Infiniti Q50 is actually based on the 2.2 diesel before it's stripped down and rebuilt with a 2.0 NGTC turbo petrol - but in order to index properly, the class and generation do.

This is so confusing :boggled:

I'm gonna have a hard time changing this since its aggressively promoted as the C-Coupe, but I'll do it.
