The most powerful variant of the early 2000s CL Class Mercedes. I honestly really want one of these, I've liked this body style oddly enough for quite a while and if PD ever make a premium CL Class of this generation, I would hope that it's this one.

Head for the trenches, Dodge, Lamborghini and Porsche! Here comes another shot in the heated battle for supremacy in the horsepower wars — fired by Mercedes-Benz and its coalition partner, AMG. In the last two years we've seen the troops from Affalterbach unleash a volley of models, raising horsepower from the mid-400-bhp range to the high 500s and wondered, "How high can it go?" Now we know. With the recent introduction of the AMG CL65 and its 4-door stablemate, the S65, Mercedes has demonstrated that when it comes to high-output engines it is the King Kong of car constructors.

Take the CL65, M-B's stylish luxury coupe. If "Torque talks," as an old racer's adage states, then this car's AMG-built powerplant is sure to monopolize the conversation. Not only does its twin-turbocharged, 6.0-liter V-12 crank out an awe-inspiring 612 bhp DIN — more than any production-car powerplant except the Ferrari Enzo's — but it also hammers out 738 lb.-ft. of torque, more than the Lamborghini Murciélago, Dodge Viper, Porsche Carrera GT and any other production automotive engine. Although horsepower is nice, it's torque that gets you off the line and catapults you past those pesky econoboxes.

So just how quick is the CL65? How about 0 to 60 mph in a tick over 4 seconds — with an electronically-limited top speed of 155. Unfettered, the CL65 is capable of speeds in excess of 180 mph, not too shabby for a car weighing more than two tons.

The Mercedes-Benz CL is the coupe version of the S Class. The W215 CL was based off the W220 S Class with an 8 inch shorter wheelbase and was first introduced in 1998 as the CL500, and is the production version of the F200 Concept of 1996. The CL coupes come equipped with the very latest in Mercedes-Benz technology, and along with the S-Class sedans the CL coupes receive new technological features.

At the top of the CL line was the insane CL65 AMG. The $179,100 monster packed a twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12 making 604 hp and 738 lb-ft of torque. This model also got the Hands-Free Communication system, electronic trunk closer, Comfort package, 19-inch wheels and 15.4-inch front discs with eight-piston calipers all included for the low, low price of $179,100. The CL65 was properly expensive, putting it right up there with the Bentley Continental GT or a small house in a flyover state. Total out-the-door price in 2005 was $181,240.

In 2005, the CL65, with its 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12, was one of the most powerful cars on the planet. Six-hundred horsepower wasn't as common as it is today and that number was reserved for dedicated hard-core sports cars like the Ferrari Enzo, Pagani Zonda and McLaren F1. A two-door cruiser with 604 hp? Insanity. But it's exactly what Mercedes did and it's exactly why I love it.

Well, here's a tip; try being more general with your searches. You'll have to go through more results, but with the ctrl+f command; it helps narrow things down.

Also it's CL-Class not C-Class
It's probably because of that I didn't find it in search (As I searched Mercedes-Benz CL)
I know, I could have swore I wrote "CL-Class". I didn't change the title, because I assumed it wasn't written as such the whole time. Though, I still wrote "CL65" in the title as the type of CL. So, you still should have been able to find it.

I guess that you need to improve searching skills. I suggested Renault 21 Turbo Quadra almost 2 times until I typed R21 in search box
