Voted. Important informations have already been provided via links, so I'll continue with one interesting and unfortunately sad fact.
The CLK-GTR was deemed to be very unreliable. Car dealer Mark Johnston requested a full refund of his own example as it broke after travelling about 1.6 kilometres. In British car magazin Evo it appeard on the list of 10 worst cars they have tested in year 2006. They criticized usage of mechanical components inside and handling. It also suffered from a mechanical failure during the test.

But it certainly would be a great addition to other cars from this class. After all, it was featured in many racing games primarily NFS series.

I think this deserves more love, I really want that GT1 road car along with other homologations.

Seeing as GT7 is going to receive a historically important Mercedes-Benz and their relationship with PD it's a no brainer to add the CLK-GTR, it would easily be a fan favorite.

Would love to see the SuperSport instead but outside of Project Gotham Racing 3 and 4 it hasn't been seen in any other racing games though the model in Midnight Club 3 Dub Edition was based on chassis #1, and the Forza Horizon onwards model was partially based on chassis #17, the only branded SuperSport model and even is designated as chassis #1 which is another SuperSport model despite being listed as a 'regular' GTR.

Also it's clear they wanted to add it to the GT series at some point seeing as the racing GT1 version was cut from GT2 and the LM was incorrectly called the GTR in GT4.
