The German supercar will be powered by revised 6.2 liter V8 engine which provides 650 horsepower, exceeding the 100hp per liter. The top speed is rumored to be 322km/h.
The SLS AMG Black Series will see a new front bumper, side skirts, widened wheel arches, air inlet in the hood, and other modifications
The Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series is scheduled for 2013 and pricing will start at € 260,000 ($ 338,310).

The black series...I must paint you!!! Anyways I think the car looks great and hope it stacks up well with the other black series.

i never realy wasn't a fan of the sls's looks but 650hp is insane this gets 3 👍 👍 👍 for the performance 1 👎 for the looks

If this is on Top Gear one day and Jeremy Clarkson doesn't shout "POWERRRRRRR...." when flooring it, I will be disappointed.

Seriously, it's the perfect car for that sort of tomfoolery.

650hp and it can't crack 200mph?

It definitely can, but German law probably has something to do with it.

Dear German Government,

You have a highway that allows unlimited speeds, yet you make cars limited to 155 most of the time.

WTF?

Sincerely,

Logic.

One word: Tires. Making tires that can hold up to that kind of speed is expensive and sacrifices elsewhere (grip, longevity etc.), which is why many cars have limiters and why the Bugatti Veyron has ludicrously expensive tires.

Uh what about the Autobahn?

The Autobahn doesn't have to do anything with the German's 155 top speed law. It's not even a law I think. Its more of an agreement between the German auto makers. For example, in my S4(I live in America) the top speed is also limited to 155. The 190 top speed doesn't make sense anyway. The SL65 black goes to 200. Why would they make their top of the line supercar slower than one of the lesser models?

Heavily disguised, the prototype is distinguished by a new front fascia, revised side skirts and extended fenders. We can also expect high performance brakes and a sport-tuned suspension.

Power will likely be provided by an upgraded 6.3-liter (6,208cc) V8 engine with approximately 650 PS (478 kW /641 hp). This could enable the supercar to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than 3.8 seconds and hit a top speed in excess of 322 km/h (200 mph).

Correct.

Pfeew, I see it's still a mule. That front bumper shouldn't be allowed on the SLS.

The old black had a v12 with dual turbo chargers and 730HP with 1000 torque. Why the drop in power?
