Weight: 832kg

Alternative specs:

http://www.supercars.net/cars/1265.html (the engine is wrong in this one, it had an Inline 8, not a V8)

The most powerful Grand Prix car ever built until the F1 turbo era. These cars could easily reach 190mph at Spa and the Nurburgring in 1937. With its drum brakes and skinny tires, it would be a very different and exciting driving experience. A real titan of a car.

There's a GTR2 mod featuring this car, it's a tricky drive but so much fun. There's something kind of odd about how narrow the cockpit is combined with the fact that you can see what are basically bicycle wheels in front of you and the massive boat-like pitching when you brake and accelerate. It's terrifying at speed, doesn't have much grip in any direction and under hard cornering it'll lift the inside front wheel thanks to the cheese-like suspension which opens the door to oversteer city... All of which make it a really, really fun car.

Another F1 car from the begin years of Formula One.

Original post updated. 👍

Also, have a listen to this incredible beast. :D

Footage of the W125 being driven on the Nurburgring Nordschleife in 1962, unfortunately Lang appears to be cruising for most of the onboard, but some lovely footage of the car nonetheless.
