I beat her :D :D
Did anyone find the white snake in the field??
Well done, time to do it again eh ;).

Theres three white snakes, called Solid, Solidus and Liquid and none of them show up on the thermal imaging.

Solid Lifters
The three clips are:

1. You pick up the correct gun, but it's just a blank.

2. You pick up the correct or wrong gun, but don't point or shoot at him.

3. You pick up the wrong gun, and he gives you the SAA.

I've done all three.

AND
4. You pick the loaded gun and miss when trying to shoot him ;)(or is that what you meant in 2??)

Hiya! :D :embarrassed:  Meow! (='.'=)

Thanks! :embarrassed: 👍 Now I need to go back and play the game again to see these for myself!

Is there anything else I should be aware of? Like scenes with different clips? I have never killed the End on his wheelchair, so I know that's one of them. :embarrassed:

Yea theres also 3 The End clips also if you've completed the game, on the menu go to Demo Theatre and the ones shaded dark are the ones you havent seen coz there are more clips that i havent seen that you might of.

what im gonna do is at the Ocelot bit and The End, im gonna make saves for each possibility and each one ill do different so if there are 3 clips to be seen, make 3 saves at the same point but do them differently.

I've just played through the game enough times to get them, theres still a few clips I don't have but I know I'll be playing it again.

Yep.

I never ate one. How do they taste? I was trying to capture all the animals in the game I possibly could. This included the "turd snake," The End's parrot (not really a parrot) and the three white snakes. Obviously, I missed one animal, and didn't get what ever it is you get when you collect all the animals in the game. (Is it the brown face paint, or something?)

Don't know, I've not done that yet. the snakes give you full stamia recovery, can come in handy if you spot one while fighting the Boss.

I think they're easy to spot. They hang around by each log on the ground. You can eat while taking cover from The Boss behind the log.

Yeah, if you're looking for them and you're around one of the logs you can spot them easy enough.

Slick Rick
Whats the ''turd snake''??
You know the area where you fight The Fear? Go there, either at night, or after defeting The Fear, and place a mouse trap. Walk away from it, but stay in the area. Wait for the trap to go off. If it's not a "turd snake," and is a squirrel, other snake, frog, etc. then get rid of it and reset the trap. You'll know what a "turd snake" is when you trap it. It can be found in a few other areas of the game, but not many. It's actually called a Schucenko, or something like that. It's easier to call it what it looks like. It's some sort of half salamander, half snake. It's very wide, short and brown and it flops around. You never see it unless you trap it first. Another Kojima easter egg.

Save it, never kill or eat it, and finish the game with it alive. You'll need to trap it again near the waterfall when meeting up with Eva. The reward is Infinty face paint for your next game.

Wow.... I thought I knew all there was to know about all of the MGS games but I didn't know about that "turd snake" easter egg!

I tip my imaginary hat to you, sir, Solid Lifters. lol

I've always wanted to get my hands on MGS, but I can't find copies of the original PS-X game anywhere, and Sons of Liberty is almost as difficult to find ... if only Konami would release an "anthology" of all three complete games for PS2 (for people who haven't played it before). I'd gladly shell out for that; I love games with good storylines.

Is it just me or does the credits in MGS3 also remind you of James Bond??
I could picture the music and that little movie at the start of a James Bond movie.

Yep,done deliberately ike that. Kojima LOVES movies, and he makes sure it shows in his games.

Really?
Ive only heard one reference to James Bond now thinking about. So has he put any other references of other movies his game? maybe Clint Eastwood poping up and challenging Ocelot to a duel??

Speaking of Ocelot, i started a new game a couple of days ago and i got to the end of the first bit where Snake fights Ocelot and his men. When its done and you have to go back for Sokolov at the bridge, before i went i took my knife to Ocelot and killed him but i failed the mission(well i knew i would if i killed him anyway) but it still suprised me because some angry man started shouting and saying ''you've created a time paradox...etc..'' it didnt sound like Major Zero but i might be wrong. Would the same happen if i killed one of Ocelots men?? im gonna try today.

I tried it, and I can't remember exactly what happens; you can either kill them if you want, or they don't seem to die at all. There is something odd about that part of the game.

The time paradox happens, because Ocelot is needed for the MGS series to continue. Create a paradox, and the game is over.

Theres a Tuxedo in the game which has always been a Bond referrence since MGS on PS1. Theres a converstion about James Bond between Medic, Snake and Zero, theres the start of the game upto the intro movie done like beginning of a Bond film. Theres a lot of stuff in the script that contain hints of Bond referrences and some stuff dotted around the game too.

Remenber in the Virtuous mission Volgin shoots a Nuclear Warhead at Sokolov's research facility and there was a huge explosion.
Im a bit confused because after that you are sent back to meet with Adam but the facility is still standing and there are still animals, trees and plants about. Major said the weapon was slightly inaccurate but even if it missed, the building still should of been caught in the blast and been leveled?

It was a small nuclear weapon. The bazooka launchable atomic missile wasn't powerful enough to destroy everything. It was designed to kill soldiers, and irradiate an are for several days so nothing could enter the area. Obviously, if the core of the research center wasn't the epicenter of the grenade blast, but it could have. The device was made to kill people, not buildings. Once the radiation goes back down to normal levels, plants and animals can continue to live there. It was about a week later when Solid went back there? That could be long enough for life to go back to normal.

The "Dave Crockette," as it is called, made an appearance in the Godzilla vs. King Kong movie made in 1962 which agian, Hideo is a big fan of. Did I just end a sentence with a preposition?

Slick Rick
Thanks Solid Lifters. That was a very clear awnser.
You seem to know everything!!
'Bout MGS games, of course! It's my favorite game series. All the weapons in it is real. That's one of the reason I love it, and hate those stupid "Splinter Cell" games. It beats out the GT series, which I also love.

Actually, GT was my fave game series ever, upto GT4 and MGS3, but GT just hasn't progressed enough to warrant the title of my fave game anymore, it's still great, but it's nothing really new. MGS3 blew me out of the water, and still does, GT4 doesn't and I bought both on the same day.

I should finally start to play this as soon as I finish ICO.
How is that? I have the demo to Shadow of Col. but have yet to play it. I here it's not as good as ICO. It's mostly different in game play. 16 large bosses, and each one take a different tactic to bring down. They say a lot of people who liked ICO might not like SoC.

I've seen the demo for ICO, but never played it. Is if fun? Challenging? Difficult or easy?

ICO is more based on puzzles (strategy) you know, how to get from point A to point B, how to make this work, how to get the damn chick over here... And I don´t know if they´re so hard or I´m just dumb, because I find myself stuck on what to do next every 15 minutes. But it´s a really entertaining and beautiful game, you should give it a try.

I played the Shadow Of The Colossus demo a few times and I really liked it. It feels different from ICO yes, but that doesn't mean it´s not cool. I think it might be one of the best games to come this year.

ICO requires more strategy and thinking for you to move on, but SOTC is not just action. It took me a while to figure out how to climb up the colossus on that demo, and every boss will take a different strategy to kill.

Give the demo a try, you might like it.

I didn't like it. The scenes are great and the music is fantastic. I really thought the graphics would be better than this, and I was running it in 480p. The controls, the camera are horrible, or not what I would like it to be. The camera movements make me sick. Why does that stupid camera always move out of the direction you need it? I hate having to use the camera as much as moving the character. The controls of the character and horse is very sluggish and not very precise. I hate that. It might take some getting use to, so I'll keep trying.

I dont have any TNT. Is there any other way to blow up those supply buildings?
And once a guard is KO'ed or asleep, is there any way to wake them up again like in MGS2 with the coolant
