Any love for these new handsets? Announced last week after lots of rumours and speculation. Headlines include:

- Windows 10 out of the box
- 3gb ram
- 1.8ghz hexa-core in the 950 courtesy of snapdragon 808
- 2.0ghz liquid cooled octa-core in the XL courtesy of snapdragon 810
- 20.0mp camera with 5th gen OIS, 6 piece optics and triple RGB flash
- 5.2inch WQHD AMOLED on the 950 with 564ppi
- 5.7inch WQHD AMOLED on the XL with 518ppi
- 32gb on board storage with expandable support for up to 2tb
- Type C USB for high speed charging and data transfer
- Windows hello beta for super secure phone unlocking
- Continuum with windows 10
- Microsoft display port to turn your phone into a full windows 10 desktop capable computer.

Very excited about them. Tablet class liquid cooling on the 950XL should ease any concerns about the overheating issue on that particular snapdragon version. Real song and dance being made over the new camera optics and flash.

So, added a poll, will you be getting one of these new Windows 10 handsets, have Microsoft done enough to pull you away from Android or Apple?

It'll really boil down to the price they're offering these at. Hopefully it's aggressively priced.

I've run through a string of Windows Phones in the past year while travelling and currently using a Lumia 925. While I love the hardware (Samsung should take notes) and the OS, the app situation does cause problems. No Lyft app (I don't like Uber much), Instagram and Spotify drag their feet immensely with updates, and I wouldn't mind being able to use the WiFi features on my camera.

If the app situation changes by launch, I'll strongly consider a 950 but I feel the price has to drop just a bit when compared with the Nexus 6. Of course, a model with a 4.5 inch screen would be ideal so may look at a step down in the range if something interesting comes along in the next couple of months.

I've yet to handle an Android phone that feels as thought out as the Lumia/Microsoft products. The Nexus devices aren't bad but they just don't quite have it.

I love my nexus 5
I would love to upgrade to a Sony Z5 Premium but I dont have $1200 laying around to spend on a phone and I can never justify buying a phone of that price

Only way I would be interested in a Microsoft Lumia phone is if it had a x86 processor so it can run full windows.

Otherwise I would prefer even an iOS device over it like the 6S which has more faster and efficient hardware as well as the best App Store.

Will stick to BB10 for now but may get an Android phone again due to the BlackBerry Priv even though OS will feel like a downgrade.

This is what MS need to do. You can already get small 7" tablets and HDMI stick PC's which run full windows and the phones really should do this also. MS wanted a unified platform yet desktop Windows and Windows Phone are still separate with different apps.

I think with Intel Atom x3-C3440, they might finally make one.
