No, I'm not talking about downloading Microsoft Office off of a P2P network. OpenOffice is an open source office suite that is compatible with Windows 95 to XP and Linux. What's better is it is completely free. It is exactly the same a Microsoft Office only the programs look different (toolbars, etc) and they have different names.

OpenOffice Impress = Powerpoint
OpenOffice Writer = Word

It also comes with a drawing program, nothing spectacular.

I would've had Microsoft Office 2000 for free but my stupid, idiotic father forgot to make a burn of it before sending it back to his friends which live about 6 hours away from us and we don't talk to anymore.

You don't talk, as in you and your father? Or you and your father don't talk to his friend?

that is sweet that you got open source for those pieces of software. If you guys only knew what some companies make off the office suites you would drop your jaw
