Very nice lap in the Tick 👍 I never liked it at all with its heavy braking and dont think I will race it again on this track

I never doubted you had lost your way around this track for one minute mate ... just spurring you on ... would be nice to see what you can do in the RX7 because I will defo drive that one again when and if ... you pass my time

19.003 / 37.378 = 1.00.713 ... seen a few 18.9's at T1 and a low 37.3 T2 but can only see another .2 tops on the laptime for myself at the most I reckon

Mercedes AMG Evolution II Touring Car - 19.871 / 38.948 = 1.03.403
Nissan Xanavi Nismo GT-R - 18.941 / 37.468 = 1.00.472

Both these cars were great to drive and even though the Merc AMG is the slowest car on the leaderboard it is heaps of fun and can take the long left hander after tunnel 1 .... flat out!! .. sweet drive 👍

Spend at least a full hour with the Motul,but.............such a minor improvement,I even forgot to save.Respect for your 59.5, Ron.
I get back to it for sure.

Did lots of laps with the Jaguar LM,nasty ass gliding piece of ....
but sub min. 59.853 - 18.736 - 36.946

And some laps in the Audi TT,just for a nice replay and the sound,Jihoeeeee

of the 3 types of cars i think i like the tourers best. this morning i improved my times over the astra:

audi abt tt-r: 19.462 - 38.238 - 1.02.425
mercedes clk: 19.587 - 38.561 - 1.02.108

i deleted the astra lap so if a replay is needed for verification please erase that one ron.

is everybody using gearing 300-310 for the tourers?

can suggestions be made for the next round? el capitan please!

Okay, as a new guy I'll post. I've been watching this one with great interest. In fact reading the entire forum for months now. I guess at 60 years old my hand/eye coordination must be on the fritz! Your tips and suggestions have gotten me up to an IA lic. and all but three of the tests on the "S". So thanks for that much.

Ran that Jaguar LM for half a day and can't break 1.08 and change. You guys are just awesome. How do you do it??

Welcome, gtbadboy! Great to see a senior becoming a rookie

The key for achieving those times is concentration and experience. And ofcourse talent, but even without talent you can be up there, just look at Ron/Mr P

Most of these guys and gal have been playing the GT series for ages, so we have a little advantage over you... I'm sure if you keep practicing and study the great replays like the one that Ron posted here, you can close the gap to the top slowly but steady 👍

I don't want to get off thread here. I know you guys run a taught ship but, thanks for the welcome.

I did get the Jaguar down to 1.06.180 and have admired Mr P's awesome performance. To achieve numbers like his and a few others takes incredible concentration. I can see that being just next to perfect is what it takes that's for sure. I shall continue to follow this forum and maybe one day have a time worth posting. Thanks again.

What are the rules for setting a midfield time?

In my carreer profile - I have set a 54 sec lap with the "Forumla Gran Turismo" and a 55 second lap with the BMW V12 LMR '99 - -

Does the laps need to be set in "Arcade Mode" (and single race or time trial) - what are the rules on the cars you are allowed to race? Must they be road cars? Race cars? F1 cars? or ANY CAR?

the subaru impreza tourer ... 1.07.425 - how can it be in the same class as the mogul z?
the bmw m3 race car ... 1.03.402 - didn't know a group d of racers existed

Don't you just love 4WD Subaru Understeer? The Alfa is 4WD, yet very agile and understeer is acceptable. But the Subie, I've never come to understand it...

the jaguar racer ... 1.02.211 - scariest drive in your life?

We'll see if they get the upcoming Hellcat supercar into GT5... 1200HP from a V10 Quad-turbo, Rwd, with an engine by Al Melling, who is responsible for that killer engine on the TVR Speed 12.
Gotta get a drive in the Jaguar again. I have to say, Jaguar is becoming one of my favourite companies...

Gingiba, I think that the whizzing sound you´ve mentioned earlier, getting higher in pitch as speed increases derives from the straight cut final-drive-cogs used in racingtransmissions compared to the streetcar-cut-at-an-angle cogs which provides a much smoother interlocking action though not as resiliant nor effecient to the abuse of racing under high-power....
