I havent been on much the past few weeks. I've been busy with college. Its good to see people using GTville!

I tried to get on yesterday but I kept getting io.nettyhandler errors. I might be able to play some this week so hopefully I'll see some of you on.

I'm guessing you made the farm then. Is it cool if I take some food from it? I plant them back.

Also, I never knew there was a Tekkit server. Is it the newest one or Classic?

Me and my friend created a war game using an island seed. How it works is that one of us takes one of the two major islands, during the weekdays we build the materials we are going to use and then on the weekend we play in survival mode, attempting to conquer the other person.

Yes you may use the farm including the animals. I think the barn is the only thing I put a claim on.

The tekkit server was deleted. I think it crashed and DQuaN couldn't get back in it.

I keep getting io.netty.handler timeout errors when i try to login in the library. Could it be the library's cloud crap is too slow?

Can't wait! I only have the PS3 version right now and have been waiting for an update to get closer to the PC version :D. I would have the PC version if I had a decent computer.. (All I have is a useless laptop.. :()

Pfffffffft. My computer has 0.99 GB of RAM

In the latest (I think) version on vanilla MineCraft(1.7.5) it uses about 100~150MB or ram. in task manager it uses about 300MB of ram but I think if it is confined to the amount of ram you have it may be lower. As you can see by pressing F3 it shows I'm using 122MB standing amongst the small village a few friends made.

Is the PS3 version worth getting? I've been debating on getting it or not.
It depends. Doesn't quite have the player base and doesn't have as many features, but I like it specifically because it's easy to pick up and play, and because it's not on the same computer that I already use 12 hours a day for work.

Also, I kinda like the relatively basic PS3 controls.

Yeah the PS3 version is very simplified in that you don't have to make the recipes yourself and what not, you just need the stuff it's made of. Also I think some stuff is easier to get than the PC version. For e.g books are paper and leather on PC but they are only paper on PS3. (Tell me if I am wrong here)

But yeah I watch alot of MC videos on youtube and we could do with a few more features to bring it closer to the PC version for sure. (I wouldn't mind more animals like horses etc.)

Also I'm not sure but I don't think we can make public servers/games on PS3, which sucks a little bit.

Yeah, no servers to my knowledge, but at least you can still play online with others.

To be honest, the list posted above will go quite a long way to adding the stuff I've been waiting for in the game. I've not really exhausted my interest in building random stuff yet, so I expect there's plenty in the PS3 version for me yet.

Some things for the PS3 Minecraft.
Will release tomorrow.
  • Minecraft Skin Pack 1 ($1.99)
  • Minecraft Plastic Texture Pack ($0.99)
  • Minecraft Battle & Beast Skin Pack ($1.99)
  • Minecraft City Texture Pack ($0.99)

You PS3 guys can get all that stuff for free on the PC. And PC has an awesome server you can play on. :sly: It would probably help if I had the time to get on the server regularly, lots of classes this semester.

Some of us have both. I have PC and PS3. I play with mods on PC and just play vanilla on PS3 so I get both in one go.

Well with the new launcher you can have different saves of versions. For example, I have a save for the current version and one with a modded 1.6.4.
