...........I'm conflicted. On the one hand, this is not a terrible car, is reasonably quick, inoffensive and kind to the mother nature, but on the other hand, it wasn't on sale (just for leasing, and only on those places where fashion statement cars rule) has no rear seats (batteries took over) and slower than a regular Mini Cooper. Hmm...
 
This was the time when everyone wanted to jump on electric concepts as they were supposedly the next big revolution. Technology wasn't up to what it was in 2015, it's noticeable.

The Mini E and the subsequent BMW Active E coupe were all about getting real world information on how people would use and cope with electric mobility. This information and the analysis of the cars once they were returned help BMW engineers define the targets and identify the risks for what became project-i and in turn the i3/i8. They were never really about offering the consumer the best electric vehicle.
