Alright, I'm in the middle of the GT World Champ. and Hong Kong is next. I know that I have ben having problems with understeer on the tight street tracks (fortunately Tokyo is pretty wide, but the problem made itself known) so I was wondering if anyone had a good setup for this car at this track. I bought the stage 4 turbo and I have R1,2,3 tires purchsed for it so I can use any combo of these. Thanks for the help.

I used this car for this series too, and I lost HK with a 5th place. I haven't gone back to win it individually yet. This was a stock Minolta. I didn't qualify for this one, I forgot to. So this might have been the problem. Most of the time it's harder to play "catch-up", than it is to play "blocker". Also did poorly at Suzuka, with a 3rd. I won the championship on points, but I hate not coming in 1st. I will tune the car more and win them this weekend.

get the turbo, put R3's on the front and R2's on the front, then pit when the leader pits. You'll be able to catch up since your car is slightly faster and your tires are slightly more gripping.

I dont see WHERE you run a Qualifying run? Is that the PRACTICE icon?
The only thing that comes up is Race, Practice, Bspec, Setup,Options and exit, for me

Yes do a practice run to Qualify.
No idea why they called it practice or just didnt identify that you can qualify, but oh well.

Thanks for the replies, but I realized that the suspension wasn't the problem. Tranny wasn't set for the track at all. I put it on auto setting 13 with R2s up front and R1s in the back and it was smooth sailing. I had to set it as low as 11 for Opera, Paris (the rear tires appreciated that one) and as high as 20 for La Sarthe, but anyone who has trouble with this car in this championship should make sure their transmission is set correctly. I was against probably the hardest field (another Minolta, R89C, R92CP, and 2 losers) and I won it handily though I don't consider myself a great driver.
