Minolta Toyota settings

Hi everyone.. first post here!
I was hoping someone could help me tune my Minolta Toyota for the test track for highest speed. I've done searches and have found plenty of info about highest speeds reached, but no actual settings.
I have nitrous equipped, but so far have only been able to reach 314.70.
Also, why does the test stop after the tunnel? You only have that far to reach your highest speed? Or do I need to change something in the "options"?
Great forum here, This is my first racing game ever and I'd be lost without the help I find in here! Thanks for any help/advice!

Well, you can always turn around and go backwards...

Anyways, a couple people have 300mph tunes in their sigs.

Also, I've done 315 or so in my 787B.

Congrats on getting the minolta to a good 315mph 👍

To get to that sort of speed, chances are you're already aware of what you need/are trying to do. In my own experience, the best thing you can do to help yourself improve is to look at other peoples runs; even better with the actual setup as this allows you to see what is really happening with certain setups.

When looking at other peoples runs, be aware of the stance of their cars and the speeds reached at certain positions of the track. Also be aware of what the car is doing in the run, i.e. is it bouncing alot etc.. - but once you get better at it, you'll realise that this doesn't always mean all that much as speed can be found elsewhere. Though I doubt there is a better starting position to do some research for high speed runs and GTP is rich in such content.

Thanks for the help! Team666 - I tried your settings and when I set my auto settings to max.. the gear ratios change so that the numbers you posted are unattainable. I must have misunderstood, I set my final to max, then auto to max then final to 2.515, but then 3.930 is off of 1st's range. What am I doing wrong? Thanks again!

I noticed that I have a little contradiction in the gearing...

Gearing:
1 - 3.930
2 - 2.410
3 - 1.675
4 - 1.320
5 - 1.008
6 - 0.800
Final - 2.515
Auto - 25
Set final to max first, then max auto, adjust final to 2.215, and the rest as stated above.

The correct is 2.215. Try that.

Oh, and the mishap is now corrected.

EDIT: 2.515 of course! And correct auto set is 18, nothing else.
