missing thumbnails in garage? FIX

I keep seeing this come up,"the pictures of my cars aren't showing". First of all, this usually happens because the car was sold or given away, then the game was restored. Could just be a messed up save also. The fix is VERY simple. While in the garage press the triangle for options ( probably most never noticed this ). Select the car to fix, select "refresh thumbnail". One time I could not get this to work, I changed the view to the original setting and the refresh worked.

Dabest, WOW thanks for your reply. I obviously sent this just to you, not the 500 other people who keep asking why their thumbnails are missing. Had I known that YOU had already figured it out, I wouldn't have bothered making a post. Please keep us updated on other things that you already know so we don't waste our time.

I figured this out recently aswell, after i switched my PS3 half of my images were missing. Had to go through and do this for approx 60 cars (what a pain in the behind). Now all i want is a refresh all button

Do you know if there is a way to always show large thumbnails? It always goes back to the small version when I leave and come back to the menu.

It seems rather random to me. Happened to a lot of my cars which I know for sure I didn't give away/restore.

Thanks heaps for this, happended to a few of mine, all i was doing was modifying the exterior of the car so that it updated the thumbnail but this is heaps faster

I really wish there were a refresh button now. I have to redo a bunch of my standard cars which amounts to probably 200. Why isn't there a mass refresh?

You can not refresh more than one thumbnail at a time currently or I have seen how. I had to do 386 cars last night as my new ps3 arrived. Pretty big pain.

Still needs to be a global refresh option though.

I've got about 60 cars without a thumbnail. Individually creating one is very tedious...

you can do all cars that dont show all at once...by selecting " create update thumbnails for all cars"
