Added. I know, they fix one glitch, another one comes. 130 AYC should be enough to get rid of some understeer for now. Welcome to the series.

Not that, but I have no idea how big a deal July 1 is. I know July 4 is big, and if I were interested in this league, I still couldn't make a July 3 date.

I'm wondering if July 1 is smaller than May 5. May 5 isn't our holiday, and we still celebrate it. Could just be because we have more Mexican restaurants than... wait... we don't have Canadian restaurants.

May 5 isn't really a Mexican Holiday, either. Or rather, it's only a minor Holiday in Mexico. Sort of like Flag Day in the US. It just marks the day the Spanish Army (in Mexico) defeated some French troops during the Colonial era.

Oh, and more importantly, I vote for Suzuka over Fuji (I know that one wasn't officially put up for a vote) and Le Sarthe over Nurburgring. I agree with Brosif about the 2005 Le Sarthe thing too.

I'll let you know about the turbos once I've had a chance to test them.

imo...tire choice is a bit unrealistic

LMAO. There's one of these posts in every series' thread. I bet you're going to suggest the Racing Mediums or Softs would be a better choice because that's what these cars would use 'in real life'.

I'm not trying to be a dick, just want to avoid the needless tyre discussion. Racing Mediums and Softs in GT5 are so unnaturally sticky that for the most part their equivalent doesn't exist in the real world, so the stickiest compound I would recommend going with is Racing Hards (in most cases). These are fairly high HP Race Modified cars, so I assume this is why BlackIce went with Race Hards...

Just my two cents.

He was probably implying the opposite Schad; meaning Sports.

And I kind of... mmm... I don't know, I guess I'll have to try the car first before I really say what I'd want to run. 'cause I have a feeling that sports might be a little, not fun. Because of the HP we're talking (which I also am on the fence about before I try it. I think it might be a little too much) racing tires would be appropriate. We might spend more time worrying about wheel spin than racing on sports tires.

But I'll throw my hat into the series... looks like I'm really turning Sunday into race day. Gonna make it official with the girlfriend :/ Wish me luck
:scared:👍

#11 Wardez(Wardez) Chrome Silver/Rosso Alfa

Going McLaren in this biznastyotch

I'll add you in Wardez, only problem is #6 is taken.

And these are AWD cars, wheel spin doesn't happen as often as you think. If you tune it right, the car has a good balance between oversteer and understeer. To be honest, you can go through an entire race without a tire change like the Miata series. Depending on your tune, the front tires can wear out faster or the back, the tune I posted in the first post is a balanced tune that wears the tires out pretty evenly. The Lexus IS-F series which you hosted had more power then these Evos, Lexus' HP and PP was 522HP and 601PP. The Lexus weighted about 100kg more then these cars but even so, should be easier to control then the Lexus IS-F.

Meant to make that an 11 lol. I copied someone else's post for the sign up form and forgot to change the number.

Anyway, here's a picture of the beastly Woking Evo special

Not gonna lie, that looks pretty bad ass. (And I thought mine looked cool, now I wanna change my colours!)

Getting a pretty good turn out. Hopefully a week from now we will get more then double what we have now. Spread the news!!

I'll be doing a practice race next Thursday to help all of you get a feel for these cars on a race track with other cars. I'll be hosting practice rooms as well throughout next week. Hope to see you all there. Remember to tell your friends!

Here are my colors: WR Blue Mica/Olympic Gold Metal

My car will have an identity crisis. Doesn't know if its an Evo or a STI.

Made the change, Blue and Gold is always a good combo. STi or an Evo, sexy no matter what.

Heh, oops. Just seen too many posts in other threads where people were suggesting one series or the other be run on Racing Softs, etc. If I remember correctly, it even came up in the RM Capp thread...

Sorry for being late but I haven't had a chance to buy the car yet. I'll do that tonight and provide the colors later. :D

#4 outlaw4rc (outlaw4rc) - TBD / TBD

Gonna build the car tonight and see if I like it. I recall AYC causing some weird feedback on my wheel, but I think that was S-AYC in Evo X.

I havn't been getting any weird feedback form these cars. I think it might be a glitch from the latest update though. It's supposed to be Adjustable LSD I think, but 130 AYC gives you the most oversteer, you can adjust that to your liking, the lower the number the less oversteer there is.

Tried the car and attempted few basic tweaks. With the tunes I tried the car is NOT fun. The tune in the first post is useless, since we can't adjust LSD. So for me personally, this either needs a link to a tune that would feel good, or delayed until LSD glitch is fixed.

Might try tuning some more, but not optimistic at this point, since none of the usual gt5 techniques to make the car turn and still keep it drivable produced anything satisfactory for me.

I'm going to stick with the same colors as the Miata series.

#4 outlaw4rc (outlaw4rc) - Starmist Blue / Starmist Crimson

What I'm really aiming for, though, is to match the Red Bull colors as seen below:

(actually, if we had full control on how to paint the cars, it would look EXACTLY like this) :sly:

Had a chance to run a few laps with the car. Whoa, understeer!!! It's especially bad when trying to go full throttle around a corner. I think I have the baseline for a good tune but I still need to tinker with it.

Do you work for Red Bull or are you just a frequent consumer of their products??

Yes, this car does handle like a fat pig on ice skate (not well). :D

Actually, neither. I just happen to like the shades of blue and red on the car and the bull makes it look like a fast machine. The fact that it has my favorite number on it is the cherry on the top.

In fact, the look reminds me of this, which I also loved back in the day:

What I'm concerned about is the wear on the front tires. I noticed that I was making them very mad when I did some runs last night and that's not going to work in a long race. I played around with going 10/90 on the power distribution hoping that may help the car. It didn't.

Are you guys running the LSD cause that cause understeer.

I was actually thinking about waiting for a patch to get the LSD back but who knows when that will be. This car has a lot of understeer but bringing down the downforce helps a little. If LSD was available, we would be able to take off a lot of the understeer with that. I donno, do you guys think it should be delayed until the LSD is patched or should I change the car? Same series just different car. I was also considering doing a Camaro SS Series, would you guys rather do that one instead of this EVO one? I have a Camaro ready so the change would be quick.

If not, here is a list of other cars I'd be willing to change to:
Acura NSX RM '91
Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (C6) RM '06
Honda CIVIC TYPE R (EK) RM '97
Nissan SILVIA spec-R AERO (S15) RM '02
Volkswagen Golf IV GTI RM '01
