After a 2nd place in 1998, Yoshihiro Kataoka decided to try one more time to win the Asia Pacific Rally Championship in 1999. Kataoka started the APRC 1999 season with the second place onboard of Mitsubishi Evo III. Then, he won the following round with his debuting Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI. But despite of a win and a podium, he did not finish the following three rounds (New Zealand, China and Australia), therefore, he lost the title by just 5 points behind of Katsuiko Taguchi's Mitsubishi Group N and became a runner-up by second consecutive time.

I agree with you. It is unfortunate that some of the WRC cars that were in GT5 did not make it to GT6. Anyhow, this Lancer rally car is better than many of the existing Lancer rally cars in GT6.

All WRC cars in GT5 are in GT6. But most of rally cars which are in previous GT's did not make it to GT6.
