Not really much point to this because this set-up isn't for the Lancer fully tuned. Today I was playing around and wanted to make the Lancer handle better than it does stock, so these are just minor horsepower upgrades and some suspension tuning to make it have sweet handling.

Actually there are some of us that don't immediately blow wads of cash to upgrade a car.

I've found it more fun when you win by less than a second than by more than a lap. Granted I won't take a second place trophy, but I won't do it with an outrageously overpowered car.

For instance: You can win the Beginner TT trophy with a VCD, and sport tires. No need for any power or suspension upgrades.

Try it, the adrenaline rush is slightly higher when the race is closer.

Powerman, please post the NSX settings, I'll use them.

I too have the Evo VII and it kicks ass in Rallys but I was wondering - what would you change or what settings would you use for non-Rally events (ie, Evo Challenge)? I'd like to get mine to handle a little better as I'm getting killed in the corners. I have all the options and am running about 590 hp. Any help sure appreciated!

MMSlash: Is this the beginner's or Amateur EVO meeting?

I ran an EVO VI GSR in the Beginner's with nothing more than an oil change and superslicks. I set the ASM at 4 and the TCS at 1.

Reducing these should help in the cornering.

I won Laguna by 1.582 seconds; Trial mountain by 1.429; Midfield by 1.005.

And by no means am I the best driver out there. I'm a bit on the average side. If you are getting killed in the corners, it's likley related to braking too late, and/or spinning tires too much. If you up the TCS, and reduce the ASM, it will counteract the tire spinning while improving the cornering. Side effect is it will reduce your acceleration slightly.

I'm racing the Amateur in the near future, and will post a note about how I did it. Most of the time, I bottom out the suspension, and adjust the Autosetting (aiming more towards acceleration than top speed).

Hope this helps.

Till later,
AO
