It is 4WD. But in the film: The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift, the car is converted to RWD to allow it to drift.

Sorry, the name just confuses me. As fom what I know, MR means Mid engine, Rear wheel drive. So it seems strange for Mitsubishi to call it the Evo VIII MR when it is All wheel drive. See were I am coming from?

Well you should know better than anyone else that Mitsubishi Evo's are all 4wd stock. The MR should mean something like "modify rally" or whatever it means to represent the package of the car. Its more like a trim model names to tell each car apart.

MR means mid engine rear wheel drive in a game.

The Lancer Evolution VIII displayed at the 2003 Tokyo Motor Show took the MR designation traditionally reserved for Mitsubishi Motors high-performance models and used first on the Galant GTO

No, it is 4 wheel drive with a front engine in real life. The same as all Mitsubishi Evos.

"MR" Stands for "Mitsubishi Racing," Not Mid-Rear. Group B is long gone.

Group B cars were typically Mid-engined. Since the Evo's Rally-inspired, I thought that's what you may have been thinking.
