Sold in many markets in the world and known as a Mitsubishi Chariot, Nimbus, Expo, Space Wagon and even as a Hyundai Santamo. This particular one was a limited production 4WD and turbocharged version was offered only in Japan, called the "Resort Runner GT", which borrowed the powertrain from the Lancer Evolution and the Galant VR-4, offering the 4G63 engine, producing 230 PS (169.2 kW; 226.9 bhp) with the manual transmission, and 220 PS (161.8 kW; 217.0 bhp) with the automatic transmission.

Think of it as a Lancer Evo with seats for 7 people!

It was also known as the Dodge/Plymouth Colt Vista in the USA and the Eagle Vista in Canada.

Yes but not this particular model with the 4G63 intercooled turbo and all wheel drive gear from the Evo, was it? Sorry if I got it wrong.

True, US and Canada had not got that specific engine package.
Though they did get a weaker 135hp Non-Turbocharged version of the 4G63 with AWD as the top performance option for their Mitsubishi Expo LRV, Dodge/Plymouth Colt Vista, and Eagle Vista/Summit Wagon (found out Eagle renamed it the Vista to Summit Wagon in 1992).

My wife has the Australian version, which came with a 5spd manual, FWD and a MPFi SOCH 16V 2.4 4G64. It's surprisingly quick and leaves many cars behind at the traffic light races. Even in the dry if you take off with revs higher than 3500rpm, it will spin the front wheels enough to make smoke come out!

What's better than drive train swaps?

Crazy OEM drive train swaps!

In the UK, Ford released the SMax, Kuga and Galaxy with the 2.5t Volvo engine out of the ST (and later the same engine appeared in the mk2 focus RS, albeit in a slightly different, more powerful configuration.)

250bhp in the front of a family MPV can be hilarious.
