Mixed Tire compounds

I wanted to ask if anyone knows if a year or so ago.. you could race using one compound on the front and another on the back?

I seem to remember seeing Super GT ( youtuber ) using RS on the front and RM on rears in a race once.

Am I imagining this or a long time ago before an update was that possible??

Yes it was. It was also used to satisfy multiple tire requirements in races until PD patched it out.

I have a guy on FB saying I'm lying lol.. Im sure I've seen people run Softs and Mediums to get around tire requirements but that was a year or more ago right?

I'd you have a link or thread I can show this jack ass would be epic.

It has been some time since it was allowed. You can still use it everywhere but online.

Yup, I scored at least 2-3 wins in FIA with mixed tires before everyone else caught on.
