I like the shot where you got air. I was wondering if you still get penalized even if you make a pass concession? Is it something that depends more on the severity of the incident?
You get the penalty if you did NOT make the concession at the time, in the race.
Ideally the concession should be made before the following turn or just after the next turn... (from where the collision happened). Basically soon. You can't wait to flub up 1 lap later & call it a concession, for example.
So I mean if the concession was made far too much later, then maybe you would still get a penalty.
There would be little reason to give a post-race concession to someone who already made a concession, as far as I can think.
But an exception to where you might get a penalty, even though you made a contact concession is if your collision caused more cars to wreck than you made concession to.
For example, in Saturday's race at Brands Hatch Indy, 1 car spun out by accident, and hit 2 other cars, and because they were spun out, it caused 2 other cars that were not hit by the originator of the incident, to go off-track or whatnot. In that case the car that spun out & caused the crash, he made concession to 4 cars, he waited until all 4 cars were back on track & going, and got behind them. This was the right thing to do. 👍
But let's say he didn't notice one of those cars, and failed to make concession to one of them. Well then there would be a post-race concession.
Or, if you make concession to the wrong driver. I'm always worried I will be confused and make concession to the wrong car.
Sometimes it's difficult to know what happened at the time of course.
At any rate, the post-race concessions generally happen if:
Someone reports an incident (involving themselves or others as the offenders/offended) - and then someone looks at it (someone else if it involves me)
I happen to notice the incident in a replay by chance while I'm just watching a replay.
If a race was a bit wild so I take a look to see what collisions occurred.
Or if someone mentions the accident in the lobby or in the thread, I look to see.
I'm thinking that there will be times that a collision occurs, and maybe no concession was made but SHOULD have been made. But it's just that nobody reported the incident, and I don't watch every moment of every replay of every driver, so that's why it's important to report accidents.
Also peeps are encouraged to report incidents because I like watching the race incidents.
(and taking photomodes! LOL)
