MK's for GT4??

Let's "Hope" so! Then I can take some HP "Out" of the GT4 Rides & "Maybe" get a decent race with the "AI"! 👍 (NO, I'm NOT holding my breath waiting for True OLR!) :irked: ...O.G. :D

Will there be a MK for gt4?

"mk" is the screen name of the guy who developed the GaragEdit program...

According to some of his recent posts at the GTX, he is currently boycotting GT4, for whatever reason.

I'm sure as soon as he gets over it, and actually purchases the game (or is given a copy), he'll start on the next version, if it can be done.

Boycotting GT4? Wow, if that's the case, what a tool :dunce:

Yeah, you made quite an impression over at the GTX with your statements about his "motivation"...

I could not care less about your opinion. The point is, you're calling out mk about his reasons for boycotting the game, and it appears you registered there for the sole purpose of doing that. The rude manner you chose do so leaves a lot to be desired.

As far as your questioning his motivations, I'll quote one of the most respectable members of the GT community, who answered you over there...

jimeez
why must MK answer that question. especially to you.
MK has done more for the game than anyone else around. doesn't need to answer to you, me or anyone else for that matter.
He is boycotting the game for his own reasons and that should be good enough for you.
I would sincerly hope that he would change his mind. I would love it, but I am not going to question his motives or ethics on why he has chosen GT4 to boycott. His choice pure and simple

Well, I'm sorry, but his reasoning is ridiculous. What is he so blatantly against? He's boycotting a game, what could possibly warrant him being against a game? It is a very odd situation. If it was simply him saying that he doesn't think he could crack the code, then so be it, but to not even attempt it seems a little odd after what he did with GT3.
As far as my motive for registering over there, you're right, it was to express my opinion on the matter, which I deem to be ridiculous. I've read his posts in the past, and he seems to be quite an odd character with a very strange values system.
If my opinion has offended you, then I advise you to stop reading my posts over there. That's the great thing about the internet, if you don't like something, there's a pretty little x in the top right corner so you don't have to deal with it anymore.
I'm certainly not "calling him out" but merely expressing my opinion which is that I think it is ridiculous for him to "boycott" GT4, knowing he has a huge fan base that was counting on him to at least attempt to create a hybridding program. Let me stress this again, letting a fan base down, not just me or you, but several others, and I'm sorry if everyone before me was just too mystified by him to speak out, but I did, so be it.
There is no doubt that it is ultimately his decision, that's common sense, and anyone can come to that conclusion and use that as a shield to any resistance. But at least he could give a comprehensible reason why he refuses to attempt it, rather than coming up with a ludicrous reason like he is "boycotting" it. Generally, to boycott something is to stand against something you do not agree with or do not believe in, so why can't he just say what he doesn't agree with? At least he could give his fan base the respect and give a legitimate reason as to why he will not do it.

MK owes you no Explanation, Period!!! He said he would make a Edit program about a month ago when everyone has a copy of the game, For some reason he decided not to atlease for the moment, How about some encouragement instead of quesioning his ability! He did GT3, That was complicated, GT4 would be simple! All I'm saying is how about some positive Feedback or none at all, Please!

Wow. Listen Majarvis no one in the GT community is entitled to anything. We aren't entitled to a GT4 edit program nor are we entitled to an explanation from MK if he chooses not continue with his famous efforts.

The fact that he gave us an indication of his intentions I think is admirable. He could have just decided he wasn't going to make a program and not said anything. Hell he could have dropped off the face of the earth under that alias and gone on about his business. I'd much rather know there won't be an MK program then to sit around waiting for a year or whatever and then find out it isn't going to happen.

Look man you are have the right to your opinion which I think we all get the jist of. There is no need to be rude. Joining a forum to complain about not getting satisfactory answers from a grown man that owes you nothing is quite ruse and childish.

Mk has done a great deal to further our enjoyment of a series we love. Instead of whining like a spoiled brat you could attempt to make your own editing program. Then see who you feel like anwsering to when your done.

As a moderator at the GTX, I am bound to read posts which may be problematic. All you explanations aside, your attitude there reflects poorly on the GTP (Thank heavens you do not represent the mainstream attitude here) and on the GT community as a whole.

mk is a unique and often quirky individual. Because English is his second (or even 3rd?) language, his intent is often difficult to decipher. But having known him for as long as I've been involved with the GT Community, I know his intentions are honorable and without reproach.

When GT3 came out, it was actually quite a while before he came out with the first working version of his famous program. No one complained then, and there's no reason to complain now. I'm willing to bet his natural curiosity will eventually overcome whatever principles of his that is behind his current boycott, and we'll see the GT4 version of GaragEdit edit at some time in the (hopefully) near future.

mk owes us nothing...while we, as a community, owe him, in the least, our respect and patience.

seriously, dont poke at him for that. he has his reasons, and even if he was tryingto get the game for free, wouldnt we owe it to him? think about it this way...if people had to pay a nickel every time they used mk's program he would be eating caviar with teh queen of england as we speak, but no. he gave it to us for free and i think you are mature enough to understand that we owe it to him. he has his reasons so just lay off

if you created the original mk gt3 edit would you want nothing in return? I'm sure he does but isnt asking for anything.

seriously ...he's got his reasons.
