THEME: In his words: "Isn't it about time we had an open theme? The usual rules apply, but there's no theme to follow this week. "

Rules:
-Editing - only levels, contrast and adding a border/watermark (keep it as stock as possible)
-Photographs must not be a 'snapshot' but must include some composition and effect - Base the photo on a studio shoot, or even use diorama/composition to create a realistic setting (you could position the model and camera in such a way in an outside setting so that it appears to be a 'real' car)
-No HDR shots
-Shots must be taken between January 2008 and the present day - exceptions can be made as long as the photograph has not been shown before the competition e.g. unposted work.
-Picture sizes - Must be no longer than 400px on the longest edge, full sized images must be no longer than 900px on the longest edge

-Deadline for each week will be 5pm GMT on a Wednesday, poll will be up by 5:30 pm GMT
-Voting will close on a Friday at 5:30pm GMT

The next competition will take place on Wednesday the 16th of September.

Well, again we lost some people it looks like. It was going pretty good for a little bit. Well I have to admit I lost track of time so I didn't really get a picture either. Luckily though I have a bunch of old ones to use :D.

FINAL ENTRY

Not really the best picture, but I want to try to keep this thing going.

I completely forgot that "open" themes for the models, seems to lose people. I don't know why, really. It doesn't require any more work than usual.

I took my picture late in the afternoon today, in a much more natural way than I do usually. I think it turned out okay...hopefully.

I am always glad I have at least one entry ever week, comrade.

I reckon it does lose people. I found it amazingly hard to choose something last week for the automotive because I had to think of a photo that was both out of a possible category (so it wouldn't be wasted for a future comp) and competative.

I can understand that. But I think it's a little different for the model competitions because generally I think the shots are done specifically for that week - not picking ones out of storage.
