I don't know why but randomusernames did it for me might have something to do with the transition of light if that makes sense. All are great entries yet again.

I think it's just a matter of making the shot dark enough so that the car is the only thing visible. It could require some lighting work too.

Haha cheers, as Minolta said it's a combination of making the shot dark enough and juggling with lighting. I was using a black background and then used a small torch to provide the lighting as a full lamp was too bright. But then to diffuse the light a little bit I used a white sheet over the top of the studio which just made it a bit more softer. And a long shutter speed and a tripod is pretty essential.
