THEME: In their words: "I've decided to make it a bit challenging. Let's do...Motion shots! The car has to be in motion, or at least appear to be. Also, for this one competition I will allow rig shots - but the only photoshopping allowed to be done is to remove the rig from the photograph. "

Rules:
-Editing -Levels, Curves, Colour Balance, Brightness/Contrast, Hue/Saturation, cropping, or anything else capable in the development process or with filters and common special lenses are allowed to use in Photoshop or other image editing softwares. Other adjustments and effects are not allowed to be used in your picture.

**This week special rule: Photoshopping allowed for removing the Model Rig from the Photo

-Photographs must not be a 'snapshot' but must include some composition and effect - Base the photo on a studio shoot, or even use diorama/composition to create a realistic setting (you could position the model and camera in such a way in an outside setting so that it appears to be a 'real' car)
-No HDR shots
-Shots must be taken between January 2008 and the present day - exceptions can be made as long as the photograph has not been shown before the competition e.g. unposted work.
-Picture sizes - Must be no longer than 400px on the longest edge for the thumbnail image, (linked) full sized images must be no longer than 900px on the longest edge

-Deadline for each week will be 10pm GMT on a Wednesday, poll will be up by 10:30 pm GMT
-Voting will close on a Friday at 10:30pm GMT

The next competition will take place on Wednesday the 16th of December.

Crappy camera + minimal skills + motion blur = does not compute. :P

You can do it! Or at least try. You have much more than "minimal skillz".

I took this two years ago with minimal skills. :dunce: I had no idea how to use the camera properly.

You just push...and snap. Quickly though. If you can find a hill or a ramp, that could be useful. Just remember to catch the car after you take the picture!

Well this should be interesting. I have some ideas, but getting them done is a totally different thing.

I wouldn't lose any sleep if this theme never came back . Painting out my rulers was hard, it still doesn't look that great.

I think it looks fine, it's not noticeable really. You did a good job. And thank you for letting me know which theme I should pick if I want to get back at you for something. :sly:

Anyway, I just wanted to let people know that this contest will be closing about 2 1/2 hours later than normal (12:30am GMT, 7:30 EST here...), so you have a little extra time to keep working on it!

Dammit, I've only just remembered about this it's too dark here to get anything shot too, unless it's a studio thing, but thats not really what I had planned. Damn :(

Aw, now it's just me and the guy who doesn't like the theme. :(

Final Entry

EDIT: Actually, I think I'll change this so it ends on the 18th, the same as the Auto competition. I'll give you a chance to put something together Speedster.

Also kinda feel like re-doing mine...

Sorry I didn't get an entry in, chaos over today meant that I had little time to get a shot done. And what I had planned wouldn't have worked in snow. :ill:
