THEME: In their words: "Black and White."

Rules:
-Editing -Levels, Curves, Colour Balance, Brightness/Contrast, Hue/Saturation, cropping, or anything else capable in the development process or with filters and common special lenses are allowed to use in Photoshop or other image editing softwares. Other adjustments and effects are not allowed to be used in your picture. NEW! - Unsharp Mask


-Photographs must not be a 'snapshot' but must include some composition and effect - Base the photo on a studio shoot, or even use diorama/composition to create a realistic setting (you could position the model and camera in such a way in an outside setting so that it appears to be a 'real' car)
-No HDR shots
-Shots must be taken between January 2008 and the present day - exceptions can be made as long as the photograph has not been shown before the competition e.g. unposted work.
-Picture sizes - Must be no longer than 400px on the longest edge for the thumbnail image, (linked) full sized images must be no longer than 900px on the longest edge

-Deadline for each week will be 10pm GMT on a Wednesday, poll will be up by 10:30 pm GMT
-Voting will close on a Friday at 10:30pm GMT

The next competition will take place on Wednesday the 24th of February.

While I appreciate you took the time to enter, please read all of the rules before submitting your entry. Namely, this week's theme is "black and white", meaning black and white photography (not colour). Also, I believe that you added the writing, which is not allowed by the rules. It is also not a thumbnail, it is the full size image. Please use http://imageshack.us/ or an equivalent to upload your photograph and place the thumbnail in the tread.

this is my poor attempt
i took this pic on 640 ×400 when i could of just used higher pixels and reduced the size on uploading
Anyway i name this EMERGE FROM THE DARK

It is not really that poor an attempt, the lighting is interesting. I wish it were a little clearer, but it's not the worst I've seen, nor is it the worst I've ever submitted.

I will ask you as well to submit it as a thumbnail, however: as per the rules. Please use http://imageshack.us/ or it's equal to post the thumbnail in the thread.

I wish I knew how to do it as easily as they do . But after about an hour and a half and a lot of messing around we got it.
