Modern A Invitational: Engine Blown?! WTF!?

PLEASE HELP! Why is it when i'm coming into the straight on Nuburgring, my engine blow's even when my car hasn't been damaged in any way (apart from a little bump). It's happened twice and getting really annoying. PLEASE HELP!👎

Yep. Turn off damage for that race, it's a bug. The engine on that car blows a lot, I can't do more than a few laps around any track without being really sure to never over-rev it.

Never happened to me, I play Elite mode and did that race on hard (2nd place) and medium (1º place).
Maybe your abusing the revs?

Btw, this has been fixed on the PC in the patch that was released today. I guess this patch for consoles is in the QA process by M$/Sony and probably going to take 1-1.5 weeks to be released (probably going to be called 1.02? )

I've not blown a single engine other than the MP4's and purposefully trying to blow one on another car to see how difficult it was. Abusing the heck out of a lotus (over rev, dropping down one or two gears too many, etc) I did more laps than driving the MP4 as I normally drive before the engine blew up.

I was wondering the same thing? can you really blow an engine in the game? because Ive sure tried with no luck, even with the MP4. But Im on the PS3, and I dont know if that counts...

Yes, you can blow engines and tires. Go to settings and enable full damage.

Yep, I'm on the PS3. After a few laps in my MP4 I'll often blow my engine. If I drive around in some other car at top speed and downshift into 1 a few times and generally destroy it, eventually it'll blow up.

You can also blow your tires out by doing too many burnouts/donuts, etc.

Sorry for the long wait, but I turned off the damage and won the race. I don't know if ill use the car though...

Some cars over rev with auto trans which cause bad things to happen. My Gallardo use to blow engines alot.

I got this, I paced my throttle input coming out of corners and eventually took it home!

I did this race with damage turned off and had my tire pop after the second or third corner one time. Was hilarious because it caused a giant wreck and left me to start over in like third place!

Well I've been trying this race, and not been getting any blown engine, post patch 1.02

But still can't beat it, medium , race lead is 7:22, im 20+ secs off that!
I usually can wins on med/hard... But this event is tricky, any tips...
I'm just guessing lots more practice ...and I thought I knew this track
