Monaro vs GTO coupe 5.7

Essentially these are the same car, yet once tuned they have different performance outcomes and noises even

On the 3000 d2 and I had a battle between these thinking they were the same only to have my monaro smashed off the line. I could only catch so much.

Any other cars have a similar situation?

similar situation is the SVT mustang VS the 05' mustang, off the line the 05' will smash it but the SVT just pulls back in top end and wins by about 2 cars. good running with u tho last night

Yeah see for the 1/4 mile runs the SVT launches quicker but after 3rd gear you notice the 05 pulling hard.

That all depends on the tune. If both are very good they are even.

The GTO has the same bottom end of the engine but the top end is very different. It has a more modern system plus some different parts that gives it more power. (It was also $10,000 cheaper to buy than the Monaro.) The different engine parts might be why it out performs the Monaro.

As for the sound, PD strikes again I'm afraid.

It's always fun I gotta fix the launch because I had some bog, maybe I could get a little closer next time

That all depends on the tune. If both are very good they are even.

not true. If both are tuned very well the SVT will win. The SVT has more top end and a harder pull from 5 up.

Also I got a GTO coupe 5.7. It only traps 216 :S the monaro hits 222 I'm sure. The GTO is 25kg more and 70hp more yet my monaro traps 6 mph higher :S

I wonder how the comadore would stack up. Viper feel free to correct my spelling, im not currently at the ps3. All i know is its the comadore ss, maybe ill tune it later.
