Hey Guys,

What screensize do you guys race with?

I have 2 tv's, a 42inch plasma 720p and a 32inch LCD 1080p.
Which one should i use for my dedicated cockpit and which one do I put in the bedroom?

The Plasma has better picture quality but lower resolution, and is a lot bigger.
My Lcd Has higher resolution, but is smaller and the picture is a little worse.

The screen is going to be close to my face like 1,5 meters away. The cockpits at Gamescom all use 32inch screens I think. But bigger is better?

So what do you use? What would you do in my situation?
Gt5 has 1080p, but does that have any effect on the frame rate, or Anti aliasing?

24" and I know 32 would be too much for my rig. My eyes are exactly 1m from the screen.
But I know that is also different with other people...

I'd put the 32".

84", 720p at a distance of about 2 meters. I would like to go 1080, but money is tight and my projector is old. Screen size is right on the money in my opinion! 👍

i would suggest the 32 lcd for ur rig and use the plasma for watching tv...

i am using a 42 samsung plasma for my rig right now but it is too much i think, would love to use a 3 x 24 lcd (too bad this can only be used with pc, not ps3),,,

Okay I think I will put the 32" in my rig then.
I had an 23inch PC monitor 1080p until now, but found that a bit too small. The Fanatec Turbo S was bigger than the screen, so it kinda feld like I was playing a computer game instead of actually driving a car. Just trying to get as close to reality possible.

Still like some more opinions on screensizes and viewdistances!

It's a 24" 1080p LCD. Just the right size, any bigger and it starts to get a bit over powering !

I can comfortably use a smaller screen though and don't notice it in a bad way.

I've been playing with a 42" 1080p about 3 feet away. Fills my vision, but the dials are in my periphery, so I have to look at them. I think it's working well for me though.

I use a 23’ lcd from a distance of 70cm, but I would whish for something bigger… like 32’ (anything bigger or equal to 23’ is good enough)

I was in the same boat I have my computer 23" 1080p, feels a little too small basically sitting right past my wheel...the 32" feels perfect right past the wheel, may have to scoot it back several more inches past the back of the wheel...42 I have is good for something 2-4 feet away from the wheel.

Thing is for an extra one, I can buy a 25" 1080p monitor online for 168 dollars, and the 720p 32" tv's run 299 so I may got with the 25 and make it really close as possible for cost purposes.

Here are some shots with different monitors

23"

32" (some with the 42" behind it)
