Jeeez.. This is not much fun ;)

So I'm at Fuji taking the last race test in the proper fast BMW MacSomething-or-other F1 thingy.. And I'm just trying to make the race.. The track feels a little tight from time to time... And seing I only gained a few seconds on the lead car, I decided to see what's in front is.. So I restarted the race, immediatly stopped. made a 180 and parked fairly close to the edge of the track, switched to 3rd person view, and waited... - And off in the distance, I see that red Nissan Le Mans car, and he's moving FAST... Cool thing is, he didn't even TRY to avoid me - Slammed right into me.. So I failed (again) with a head on collision  - And I wasn't even moving... :odd:

it's almost as if he wasn't expecting someone to be facing the wrong way, stationary on a race track. Ridiculous. ;)

Keep going though it's a great feeling when you nail that track in that car. I outbraked myself, almost ran off and had to reverse back on and still overtook the lead car with a lap to spare.

Though the AI is really dumb (like in every over licence test), I loved racing for the gold on that test. Having to race fast for 10 laps without getting off the track is a nice (and arguably reallistic) challenge. Anticipating the other cars stupidity is sometimes more frustrating but it's also a challenge that I enjoyed : most crashes are still due to your overconfidence when overtaking.
Anyways, I found it more interesting than shoving opponents off the course in GT3.

Yes.. This is one of the tests I can see myself wrrking on for the next couple of days... I've only made Bronze so far and the closest I was was down by around 18 seconds, so there's a long way for me yet.. That said, I did keep a pretty large margen for errors as I just wanted all the tests open so I can start working on getting my golds one at a time...

And Sven, I know it's a McLaren F1, in the long version. Was merely being a little goofy... But you're right about the Toyota, it's the only red Le Mans car - but to my excuse, the "incident" did happen pretty fast so I didn't get a really good look, and I was on my way out the door to pick up the EO and just HAD to write the post before leaving ;)

I agree.
All the overtaking tests are very good and well timed. It's a great challenge and you do learn a thing or two.

Oh, and yes! The AI sucks. Big time!
