More Glitches!!!!

I am certain there is already a thread of twelve about goofs and glitches in GT2, but I was not inclined at the moment to look them up.

I was finishing up my Mazda mfgr challanges the other day, and happened to be racing the Demio challenge ( norm or [r] I can't remember). It randomly selected Grindelwald reverse. At the start, all the AI cars swerved to the left to line up for turn one, but just past the first gentle left of the front straight, all but the 1st place car decided to execute the left swerve maneuver again, right into the barrier!! If I knew how to transfer a saved replay from meme card to puter, I would post it. It was truly bizarre! While I was racing, I wasn't sure what had happened, but when i looked at the replay , there was no doubt they were trying to maneuver all to be in one race line.

Yup, I've seen this happen! I've seen this glitch in both manufacturer's events and in the Event Generator. It's like the cars all try and turn into a hidden opening or something! Then they all go "uh....wait a minute". Generally in races at Grindelwald reversed, the AI gets confused and will hit several walls especially coming out of hairpin #1...but that one you described is really funny because they all turn into the wall and THERE IS NO TURN THERE!

Another one is: sometimes you'll get Autumn Ring and halfway thru you'll notice something is wrong. Actually, if you've saved any fast laps in Arcade mode, it'll instead say 0.00 no records exist. Then you'll get about halfway thru the course and notice all the grandstands are missing! Some of the hills looked lopped off. And the grandstands at the top of the big hill are completely missing. All that are left are those bleacher sections in front of the Start / Finish line.

This is more noticable in rally races. If you set your / opponent's driver with computer driver, you will see that in pikes peak uphill the car will slam to the left until it's stop. So, PD use human driver replay for rally. I will post my picture soon in learn ..... thread

@GT_Beat, this always happens on that course, sometimes on Hard Arcade they learn not to turn left real early GrinRev, but otherwise they're spooked. No need for a replay jus try arcade and use hard/damage. thats why theres two discs

Yeah Had a glitche a few times on the Motor Sport track near the end when i'm just about to go past the finish line. The glitche seems to happen when I hit the grass at the hair pin where suddenly, the timer goes bukers and my car just flys through the walls. I would find my self driving at the highest speed after that, and the track/surrounds have gone grey. I don't know if it is the game or my GT Disc is damage lolz. However it was fun to drive into what seem like a never ending space, and watch my car dissapear on the race map.

Yeah, we pretty much all know about this one..it's the most famous GT2 bug along with the Laguna Seca bug.

Motor Sport track? there's a passthrough glitch BESIDES Laguna Seca? tell me, please

also. dumb AI glitch on Apricot hill. watch the first turn if the comp is running an AMG E55. they'll nose straight into a wall, and just SIT there. you can also deliberatly trigger a glitch in GT2 with a gameshark. use "pothole's headlight code" after taking a test run on a rally track. your opponent's AI will do the same thing

I never heard of the Pothole one, but I don't own a shark so maybe that's why.

The Laguna bug is: take a high-powered 4wd like an Escuso or Skyline or something...it has to have A LOT of power. If you're on the start-finish line go forward a little till you get to where the grandstands end (where all the colored-dot people*are sitting) now turn right and face the opposite direction. There's a little area between the track and the grandstand (since you turned around, it'll now be on your left). Supposedly if you drive into this wall and keep the throttle on while turning left and right left and right, you'll eventually break thru. I'm typing this from memory so I might be wrong about the location, but I'm pretty sure that's where it is. Do a google search on Laguna Seca Bug you'll get more than enough info about it.

Also at Grand Valley and Seattle, both tracks have a tire wall that you can break out of...again with a high-powered 4wd, but these wall are supposed to be even harder to escape than Laguna, hence they're not as famous. Motorsport Land is the only track in which you can get ANY car to break out from...which is cool cuz you can figure out what the ultimate top speed on your Subaru 360 is if you want.

Oh yeah, the famous #2 corner of Apricot! Many cars just slide out here and (as you said) the Mercedes and Astons sometimes get stuck! I never thought of this as a glitch even tho it is one. I just thought of it as a stupid driver who can't get his car in gear or something lol

I was racing at the Dodge Viper chalange once when on of te cars spun and stayed where it was for the rest of the race. Don't know if it was a glitch or the car was spinning

Yup, it is a glitch, I've seen it happen at Laguna Seca (corkscrew) Apricot Hill turn #2, Seattle at the top of the hill, and Grand Valley Turn #1. I like to think of it as a driver who can't get the car started or fried his clutch...but really it's nothing but a glitch. Sometimes if another car comes and hits the stuck one, it'll get it restarted again.

I remember my little brother playing with the Evo V GSR in Laguna Seca. Two turns before reaching the corkscrew. My little brother did something and then out of nowhere something was dragging the car back and forth really fast. The car reached top speed in reverse and 5th gear. It went on forever, we couldn't stop it or get out of it besides exiting the game.

Couldn't get it on camera but it was whack. We also lost the race thanks to that stupid glitch.

Yes, as many know there are many opportunities for off track excursions in GT2
I can do it on Laguna Seca, Motorland, Seattle (car seems to fly 30-stories in the sky, amoungst buildings) Pikes Peak, Rome, Test Track and many more, in fact it's possible on just about all of the tracks in the game

Pointless, but, once upon a time it was amusing

If u break out at the first u turn at Laguna Seca and proceed to drive under a hill, you will get sucked up (kinda like being abducted by martians) thru the track (probbably cause gravity is relative to the road surface) and fly up like 50 ft or something like that.
