More Official Tuning Companies in GT5

All GT versions that came out till now didn't give us the opportunity to buy cars from companies like Alpina, Brabus etc.
I think it would be a good idea to be able to buy these cars in GT5 and i'm not just talking about the new models, but also the models like the E36 and E39, in fact I think it would be nice if you could buy more of these "good-olds", because I'm also missing the VW corrado and models like that.
But still.....700 cars in GT4 has kept me playing till this very day, so all my suggestions could be a little too extreme, but i think they are realistic...

And about those "ricers", I think you guys should just let them get fascinated by the bling bling and other stuff that messes up cars, so we can enjoy our own racing passion even more.........

I'm down for that. I've always wished they'd use real part choices from real aftermarket companies rather than generic parts. For instance, which cam company should you choose? Lunati? Comp Cams? Edelbrock? Beyond that, what cam specs should you choose? It'd also be nice to be able to see how it affects the powerband before you choose a part. But I digress. I also admit that this wouldn't work well for all of the casual gamers, but perhaps they could have "packages" of parts you could buy, and if you went beyond those with specific combinations you could actually improve on them if you knew what you were doing. But that's all just a pipe dream and wishful thinking :(

True mate, that 'll mean sales would drop dramaticly, since only 30% of the racing gamers are really hardcore in-to-the-facts of tuning and racing. and the other 70% just wants to waste there time with friends by buying an SLR and afterwards nag about why the cars are so difficult to handle in comparision with Need for speed....
Mate, stick to Arcade :P
that actualy rimes ..

That's a problem that we've been experiencing since the beginning of extreme realistic games.
Perhaps Polyphony Digital should think about 2 versions, Gran Turismo 5 and Gran Turismo 5 Pro, the second one should contain all the aspects JTSnooks is talking about, and the tuning packages could be something for the normal version of GT5.
Of course this idea also has it's disadvantages but I think that compensates with the fun we (pro GT gamers) can have with advanced tuning capabilities in the GT5 Pro Version

I agree, real parts and real tuning companies would be great. Nismo doesnt have the same parts as Spoon and so on, the same goes for tires. You shouldn't go to Nismo for tires, you should go to Bridgestone, Pirelli, etc. What i am really hoping for are actual parts and accessories from the dealer, spoilers, wheels, and actuall factory performance packages, just makes things feel real. I hate that i can't add the factory spoilers to my G35 in GT4.

:dopey: yeah, but how far can you take this tuning? they have to draw the line somewhere you know? because GT just isn't about spoilers and kits, I think it would be OK if the spoilers that are available in GT4 are replaced bij factory spoilers, because I don't like them at all, they should do it just like they did with the wheels.💡
But no more than that, you should be able to turn your standard BMW E36 into an Alpina, or your Mercedes into Brabus, but no seperate bumpers like in NFS, this shames the name of GT

you might not be able to add additional kits in GT. i think we'll have to stick to pre- configured models. as for the alpina, its a possibility but these will be also pre-configured by PD and i dont think those will be adjustable though, since Alpina and brabus wouldn't aprove this. But who knows...
