Time for some opinions. What does the gt2 public regard as the most competitive car out there. Now i am not talking Denso Sards and Zexels here. :( Any bozo can make those cars cream the competition.

Put it this way. Which car has the lowest HP, but can still keep a Sard or a JECS honest?

My opinion is that the R390 Road Car is the best allrounder.

R30 Skyline Silhoette. At only 555hp it is no where new the class of the top cars in hp but it makes up a ton in handling. I have won the GT world championship with that car time and time again. same with the GT All Stars and all the races in the unlimited area. It is so forgiving when set up right.

True. I aint quite got the settings right on my R30, so occasionally it bites back hard. To rub salt into the wound, once you get it stuck in the barriers, it takes forever to reverse and turn cos the nose usually gets caught up in the arnco.

:banghead:

 I think you missed the point there, old boy ;) The GT One is sorta pushing the boundaries of the zexel league...

The Daishin/Xanavi Silvia, Trampio FTO, and the BP Trueno make you work for the top-tier wins.

Try an A-spec RX-7 (non-LM) for size...no winning the race on the first lap, that's for sure.

Yes that is for sure. The only issue I have with this car is even if I reduce the downforce on the front spoiler it seems to make very hard and abrupt turns at around the 295k speeds like at the end of the front straight on Grand Valley. Other than that I have ripped off some extremely fast lap times including nearly 1:00 flat on Midfield. That is very respectable as have dont just under a min in the CDMA Supra, and a flat min in the Calsonic R34 GTR GT500 car. Here is a tip try softening the suspenion quite a bit. drop it down to about 1/4 on the ride height. Back way off on the stability control or remove it completely. I have found that feature to cause me more problems that it is worth. I don't use it at all anymore on any car. It seems to cause them to be come unstable at high speeds.

Yea, I think Pupik is right. Using GT300 cars for GT500 is always good fro some white knuckle racing. The Calsonics etc always seem to cane my ass at grand valley tho....

Yes, the Cerbera LM and Speed 12 are challenging (and lots of fun!) to drive, but they don't exactly make for a competitive race.

But try a Storia Rally Car, Ford RS200, or Evo VI Rally Car for 4WD goodness. Or some of the rear-engined, rear-wheel-drive Rufs for fun. How about an R390 Road version with no engine mods? Or a Venturi Atlantique (either non-LM one)...lots of cars can make the GT500/All-Stars races even.
