Most fun car to drive in PD cup? (S license.)

I had a motorsport Elise to drive in that cup, but I had a major competitor- a Camaro SS. I was fine, barely getting by him in the first few laps, but he would eventually mess up in a corner, or pit, then I would pass him. No one got close until I got to Seattle. Then he would beat me consistently. So I bought a jaguar XJ220 or something bs...now it's too powerful, and I still pit as often as the elise did, with slick tires.

Is there a car that is fun to drive, yet powerful enough to run with the pack?
