Most Recognizeable Voices in Music

Vote for who you think has the most recognizable voice (and/or message) in music... Someone who stands out due to their unique vocal styling, or the way they tell their story...

Yep.. That's it... Easy... Now get to votin'...

This poll will be up for 30 days...

;)

Why are you doing this thread again?

Anyway, here´s mine copyed and pasted from the other one:

Green Day´s vocalist
Robert Plant
Ozzy Osbourne
Axl Rose
Ramone´s vocalist
James Hetfield from Metallica
Pearl Jam´s vocalist
Linkin Park´s vocalist, I think his name is Chester Benington. (not the rapper one)
AC/DC´s vocalists, both of them
Bruce Dickinson from Iron Maiden

Actually I replaced Bono Vox for Axl Rose. Mmm maybe that´s why you opened a new thread... :dopey:

Edit: Sorry the poll wasn´t there when I entered the thread. :ouch:

Actually it was... The poll was there as soon as I submited the thread.. You just overlooked it...

Is it ok to vote for an vocalist you like best from the list?

That's not really the point of this poll, but I can't stop you...

Then my browser didn´t load it, because I even looked for a poll, but there was none. It appeared only after I posted.

No, I just wanted to clarify. I do want a fair poll. Thanks!

Where are Tom Waits and Morrissey in your poll!

My ears bleed every time I hear Axl Rose's voice, so he gets my vote.

Tom Waits didn't make the cut... I know, I was shocked to... You can't mistake his voice for anyone elses...

I had to vote for Maynard... I just couldn't bring myself to vote for anyone else... I tried, but alas, to no avail...

Is Morrissey that bloke from The Doors, who you can't understand a word of what he's saying?

You're both thinking of Jim Morrison.

And given the choices on the poll (some really distinct vocalists missing), I was left with a toss-up between Freddie Mercury and Robert Plant, but I ended up voting for Robert Plant.

I voted for Hetfield.

If I could cast a second vote it would surely go to Axl Rose.

No, I'm thinking of Stephen Morrissey, the bloke from the Smiths.

Ah, yes. I knew it was Morrisomething. 👍
Well, one out of two isn't bad!

Where's Geddy Lee?
We had nominations for this a while back, and it looks like Geddy Lee didn't make the cut, although he is certainly worthy of a place in this poll (as are many other omitted vocalists).

Hetfield. You spelled Metallica wrong...

What about Billy Corgan? He was mentioned numerous times.

I think we all want to know how those in the poll made the cut. Obviously they excelled over the others, that's why Bob Dylan and Billy Corgan aren't in the poll, among others.

My guess is that DR placed the Top 10 most voted for in the other thread to place in the poll.

What part of "didn't make the cut" don't you people understand... Billy Corgan almost made the cut, as well as Bob Dylan... They just didn't make it into the top ten...

My guess is that DR placed the Top 10 most voted for in the other thread to place in the poll.

Bingo!... Give this man a cigar...

Axl's voice has really deteriorated over time (and from drugs). I bet half of you wouldn't recognise him now.

P.S. He also plays the K-DST radio DJ in GTA San Andreas.

I saw the Guns´n´Roses perform in Rock in Rio III a few years ago (2002 maybe?) and although his voice is very crappy now, you can still tell it´s him by far.
