I have just recently purchased an XBOX and Forza 6. With only a few hours into the game, I can already say that I like it. Forza 6 is better than GT6 in many ways, but I do also miss some features from that other title. Happy with the game so far and looking forward to dissecting the tuning physics as I have for previous racing games.

Tune seems to work very well although I did change a few things to make my PI (Performance Index) exactly 700.

Here are the parts I put on top of the upgrades you did.

Sport Intake
Race Flywheel
Sport Chassis Reinforcement / Roll Cage
Race Clutch
Race Transmission
Race Driveline
Upgraded Front Tire Width 275/35R19
Upgraded Rear Tire Width 315/35R19
Sport Rim Style FN01R-C
Remove Wing

Then I changed the Caster Angle to 4.4

Those seemed to work for my style of driving on Forza 6. If you want to try these changes go for it and let me know if it works better for you.

Hi Mr. MCH! :)

(cbarbosa from GTPlanet) - Tested on controller, ABS only...

Your 1st tune in FM6 came just in handy, as i´m about to start the "Daylight Series" A660 and the Mustang is on of the cars avaliable.... :D
Regarding your tune settings, only changed the following:

  • Removed Front Aero (really enjoy stock appearence cars)

The 1st series of Ultimate Sports Machines (Volume 2 - Sports Icon) has a max PI of A660, so perfect! The tracks for the 5 races are:

  • Mount Panorama- the stock gearbox is letting the car down, needs some adjustments to become more responsive. The car has a very good mechanical grip, very composed on the ups and downs of the track. Springs are very reactive and responsive to the track layout, suits my driving style. However the main issue was the braking pedal travel. The brakes felt "lazy" and unresponsive. The balance is OK to me, however noticed an excessive hard pressing on the brake to make the car stop. May be related to brake pressure...

  • Long Beach - The car felt different, but for better. Much better grip, more stable, less body roll and weight transfer. However the stock gearbox and the "lazy" brakes are still there, mainly on the long straights followed by hard braking and closed corners...

  • Catalunya - The tight twists and turns were a great test to the car's handling... Some weird understeer appeared, but easily fixed with some adaptive driving skills! :D However, brakes, brakes! Failed on a few ocassions, along with the gearbox... But still good driving sensations...

  • Rio Full R - The most challenging (and fun!). The ups and downs and bumps were a true test to the suspension and chassis settings. Dealt with it nicely, the suspension was soft enough to absorve all the elevations and bumps, but at the same time stiff enough to keep the car controlled and running. The braking problem was not so noted, mainly because of the fast cornering, but still present though...

  • Road Atlanta - The easier track of all 5... and the easier for the car...
OVERALL: The car is nicely balanced, with good grip and good speed. The main issues are the braking and the stock gearbox, believe two simple things easily fixed... A clean racer... Now only if the Drivatars were that clean racing...

TY Mr. MCH for a great tune!

Chat soon.

Welcome Motor City Hami ... followed your tunes in both Forza 4 and GT6. Looking forward to what you can accomplish with Forza 6. Cheers

welcome to my neck of the woods Hami
1st thing to master ...
PI manipulations ! like torque being cheap on pi rating and bhp being expensive
no transmission unless it really needs it
game favours stiff extension super soft compression and a hi diff settings just a few things to think on =)
hope to see you around !

@Motor City Hami

Not sure if you've dropped the game at this point but I was hoping to see some analysis of the game's physics model from you, quite liked your tuning methods for Gran Turismo 6.

hi Hami. Great to see you tuning for Forza. Loved your GT tunes, can't wait to see what recipes you cook up.

Thanks. I have shared a few tunes in the game. I haven't had really any gaming time over the past two months. And, I am moving houses so that will kill the next two months and most of my Spec Miata season. So hope to be back on in June or July with new tunes. I downloaded all of the current car packs last night and there are some really awesome cars in there that I want to tune.

This will be the first.

I know Bob Akin's son, Bobby. Bobby told me that this car holds a special place in his heart. He remembers being a young teen, like 12 years old and driving from California to NY to pick this car up from the port, then taking it back across country to California.
