Mount Panorama track short-cut ?

Sometimes Shift2 online on Xbox REALLY pisses me off !

One of my favourite tracks is Mt.Panorama, but yesterday in a race with only one other guy, after passing him on the downhill curves, later he appears in FRONT of me near the start line area, and I'm shown in 2nd place.

Now I have lost faith in yet ANOTHER track.

I later drove around the track slowly to see where someone could cut across, but couldn't find anywhere.

I had a guy ride the walls through the entire uphill and downhill sections. I had no idea why he wasn't spinning out? and wouldn't his screen blur to hell?

i was racing a guy that was cutting because he needs to, i said what you mean he said i need to as your using a wheel and i cant catch you, my wheel and pedals must be handheld i said, he left,


there is no excuse for corner cutting, it spoils it for the fair guys, the autolog if full of cornercutting times its so sad, 👎👎👎


i just thought of a example, ussr did a 1.56 around spa, not a WR, should be a WR

I agree about USSR's time.

Spa can be corner-cut online too.

I've found it to be most common on the Silverstone tracks.

Wall-riding on London River, of course.

Shanghai also.

So all record times are meaningless on those tracks. Shame.

The Shanghai 'Bund' one, where the start line is before the bridge, then left turn.

I followed this guy who wall-rode every bend.

Its a joke money grabbing £A should have fix this on shift2, Track cutting and wall ridding was bad on shift 1 so why not fix it in shift 2!!

Agreed...should be simple enough.

I hope Forza 4 has got that covered.

The fact that he just "appears" in front of you could be down to lag, and you may have never passed him in the first place.

Nope.

He was just MUCH too far ahead, and I'd passed him on lap 1 when he screwed up on the downhill curves.

There was no lagging at all...very rare on Xbox anyway.

While i was playing on-line i noticed that not every thing you see is in that place. That means if you see a car in front of you that doesn't means it's really there. Thats lag 👎 It might be just like daan mentioned.

Few times i had this situation when i cross the line first but on leader-board i was second. I've never was overtaken by my opponent but he was close enough behind me so he's overall lap times was quicker. We were racing head to head very close and weirdly i was leading from start to finish, we never crashed never touch each other and he was all the time in my rear view mirror. So when i see that someone has a slow connection and he's car jumps all over the place i know every thing is possible.

I see what you're saying, but he DID crash (behind me), and no way would anyone be at least half a lap of Mt.Panorama ahead of me in 'identical' cars, even because of lag...after 1 lap. Not even you guys.
