I havent played Forza 3 in a good month or so because I have been trying to finish up Mass Effect 2, Borderlands, and FF13. I decided to put it in again last night and check out the multiplayer. I played the multi class hopper last night for a good solid 2 hours and had a blast. Works real well when the majority of the room has a headset. Then you can give a heads up for clean passing. 👍

Yea its my favorite lobby, what classes are you racing in? I'm pretty hooked on A/E right now and plan on hitting up B/F over the weekend, just need to get a set of F class cars ready to try out.

Also wow, you're juggling 3 RPG's in a month? :scared:

I was runnning the A/E class since it was the slowest class. I dont do well at all in the faster class brackets especially since I really dont race that often at all and just dont have the practice. I dont even have very many cars built higher than A Class. I have a few for B class but none for F class. So I need to build some more F class cars so I can do the B/F group.

As for the other games, Yes I actually managed to get through all 3 of them. I actually played through ME2 twice and was working on a 3rd playthrough on insanity. :sly: On top of that I still need to finish my 3rd playthrough in Fallout 3. Need to get to level 20 as neutral. So many games never enough time.

Yes multiclass is a lot of fun, been playing A/E mostly and some S/D but that can get dangerous because of differences in speed...
also some guys start to block the slower classes, when they are in last place.. really annoying, but oh well it's against the AUP how I call those people.

I'd say these are the most interesting events as well. You tend to get a pretty fair race going, some of them being incredibly interesting. I tend to find that a lot of the guys in there are less focused on the overall tune of their cars and more about the race. I like that. None of the insane blowouts that you normally come across in the circuit races.

Nice.

I put another 5-6 hours into this multi class hopper on saturday night. Played the A/E and B/F classes. Easily the most fun races for sure. Had some very very intense close races. Once you get a group of people that will communicate, its hard to top this experience online. 👍

I have to say, I am completely addicted to this, I'm racing in the S and D classes and have been for a good few days now.

I used to only drift as I never thought I was good enough to even compete but this has really opened my eyes to racing, maybe even full time now.

I also need to start posting me thinks, been lurking for years now

I played this most of Friday night and quite a bit saturday. Officially addicted to this game mode. Had some epic close races! I saved the video for one of them.

I haven't had a chance to get on and try this...How does that work? Half of the grid is forced to pick from each class?

You pick the hopper you want to go into. A/E or B/F as an example and there are quite a few more.
When you are in the lobby the game divides the room in half. First half gets to pick their own A class cars, the second half gets to pick their own E class cars and this switches after each race. One race you will be E, the next race you will be A as an example.

Once you enter the track the slower class will be in the front. They get a 25 second head start then the faster class takes off. You only actually race the people in your class. But everyone does have to watch out for the other cars which is what makes it a blast. When both classes meet together is when it gets the most exciting. :)

The best part is that if the game is missing players for the hopper, the it will put in AI bots to race against. That way its always a full room when the race starts.

Yea, when you're driving in a close race with an integra and then a Porsche and an R8 are fighting for position and trying to avoid you it gets crazy. I'm hooked on the lobby as well, so much fun.

I see. Good to see it gives the slow class a head start, I expected it to be the fast class taking the first four spots and just starting the race as usual, essentially making it two four car races with maybe some lapping near the end.

Depending on the size of the track, the faster cars usually catch up within the first lap. I have seen 3 cars side by side battling to get around each other. Its truly a game mode I have never experienced ever in racing online. I think Pro Street had something similar but it was only for the campaign. This is for the multiplayer and if you get a full room communicating, its an intense Adrenalin rush especially on the smaller tracks.

I was racing in it last night, wasn't bad but we would only have 1-2 people talking. Its definitely an easier group to race against, I won almost every time except when A class pulled out a couple R8s.

I didn't have many competitive F class cars so I screwed together a MR-S and S13 to go with my 99 Civic Si (Keef look-a-like). The MR-S is pretty deadly.

Oh and the CPU cars are annoying on the first lap...
