GT6 is meant to be compatible with PS3, smartphones and a PC according to GTPlanet.

Don't tell me it's going to be playable on a PC? It would be great if it is true, because the game would look 100 times better then 100 PlayStation 3s or 4s…

I'd appreciate if someone could let me know what this compatibility is about?

Thanks.

I'm expecting little more than social style apps, manage your club, tournaments, profile and other trendy stuff like that. Probably nothing hugely exciting (at least to me).

GT6 is an PS3-exclusive so far. Might come on PS4 one future day, too.

Cross-platform just relates to some parts of the user interface. From the images published so far, it might relate to Garage and similar elements. We'll get to know more next week's Monday.

I would expect that there will be one or more apps available for various devices and the PC that would let you do things like manage a B-Spec race, post on your or a friends wall, send messages, possibly something related to GPS and the track creator if it exists, possibly a way to check the leaderboards if they exist, manage clubs and stuff like that.

I will not mean that you can play GT 6 on anything other than the PS3.

And the game would not look 100 times better if it could be played on the PC it would in fact look the same as it would be using the same resolutions and images unless of course the code was different for the PC and even then it could look a bit better but now a huge amount.

100x better than 100 PS4s!?? You do know that the PS4 specs are above that of many PCs that most people are using. 100 of them if they could be linked would be in super computer territory 800 CPU cores with 800 gigs of GDDR5 ram somehow I do not think you will have any PC on the planet that comes anywhere near that.

Of course if they did make a PC version I would be all over that in a heartbeat but given that it is a PS exclusive title and boosts sales of playstations quite a bit I can't see them ever doing a version for anything other than the PS or a portable PS

You're right. I was just trying to make a point about PC gaming ;)

It would have to be coded for a PC, so I could play on my 3 30inch 1600p monitors and not that pathetic 1440x1080… with barely 60fps…

I hate this PS exclusivity business, but unfortunately masses will always win :( since anyone can afford a PS3 instead of a $5000 PC.

It's not like good racing simulators are missing on the PC, so I don't really know what you're talking about...

PC gaming is the best for sure. Every PC title I have ever tried was better than the console counterpart of that same game.

not sure where you get the 1440x1080. Are you using HDMI? My set shows 1920x1080 on GT5 which is the same res I use on the PC when the game supports it.

A lot of games have went away from the PC in recent years largely due to piracy of the games. EA Sports for example. I used to get the PC version of Madden NFL and Tiger Woods PGA for the PC and I like both of those games much better on the PC but they stopped making them for the PC a few years ago in favor of the consoles only.
