Hey guys and girls,
Been rolling an idea around in my head (yeah, pretty empty mostly ) for a Muscle car race.
Having just gone through ALL the eligible garages, I have come up with the following list.
Mercury------------Cougar XR-7 1967 PP-462
Shelby-----------------GT-350 1965 PP-454
" ----------------- GT-350R 1965 PP-455
" ----------------- Cobra 427 1966 PP-536
" -----------Cobra (Chromeline) 1966 PP-540
Ford---------------Mach 1 Mustang 1971 PP-453
Plymouth------------AAR Cuda 340 1970 PP-435
" -----------Cuda 440 6-pac 1971 PP-479
" -----------------Superbird 1970 PP-480
Buick-------------------Special (no year) PP-542 **
Chevrolet------------------Corvette 1963 PP-430
" ----------Stingray Convert. 1969 PP-456
" -------------Stingray '350' 1969 PP-464
" -----------Camaro SS-350 1969 PP-451
" -------------Camaro Z/28 1969 PP-451
" -------------El-Camino SS 1967 PP-453
" --------------Nova SS-350 1970 PP-467
" -----------Chevelle SS-454 1970 PP-479
Pozzi Motorsport-------Camaro RS (no year) PP-522 **
Steilow MotorSport--------Red Devil Camaro PP-585 **
Dodge--------------Charger 440 R/T 1970 PP-466
" ----------------SuperBee 426 1971 PP-473
" ----------------Challenger R/T 1970 PP-490
Pontiac-------------Firebird Trans-Am 1978 PP-415
" -------------------------GTO 1964 PP-461
AC Cars (United Kingdom)-----427 S/C 1966 PP-518
That's a list of 26 possible starters.....
I did tag 3 of them with **, because they are NOT year specific, yet fall within the genre...??
The 3 of them have special suspension which would give them an advantage in my opinion.
PP is close, but not close enough to keep things level, so I was thinking maybe limit PP to 420 💡
Over powered cars could scale back the power or add weight, the one car below that limit should make up by shedding weight I would think. I have not tried this myself.
If enough interest gets generated, I would consider setting up a race night (times dependent) at maybe Willow Springs or Laguna Seca.
Let me know with some feedback, ideas for set classes and/or tracks. 👍
Ideally, I would like to keep them all in street trim, so no tuning, no wings (unless factory), Sports hard/soft, and maybe just allow gearbox swaps. (some of these beasts are too limited )
This would help maintain the 420PP limit I feel.
Cheers
Greg
