I keep barely loosing to Vaughn in my GT500 or my challanger concept I really like the look of the RTR-x Just curious to your thoughts on the car and its power and handling capabilities.

Great engine noise - great handling - even though it has only about 1300 PI it is as fast as most GT3 cars - I really like that car alot...

Try a works Shelby GT500 and turn down AI dificulty to easy and it should be very easy... I did it with that car on hard and had no trouble...

EDIT: I forgot I tunned the Shelby a bit - if you want I can give you the tune

Beat the event in a level 3 upgraded Challenger Concept (no works!), wasnt too hard. Havent tried the RTR-x yet, though. But it sure sounded great the one time he passed me at the last race for half a lap! :D

It's a really nice car to drive. As tribolik said, it handles well, sounds good, looks good and is unique and fun to drive. Speed really doesn't come into it, it's not as fast as a Zonda in the same way that an MX5 isn't as fast as a Zonda. It's enjoyable for what it is. I used it for most of the B-class races I think.

Won it, never even used it... Just by looking at the car it reminds me of the "dude" with the annoying voice which I promptly muted:yuck:

That is the muscle car challenge right?
Did it in a Corvette Z06 tunded to B149X.
Made it relatively easy. I think vaughn ended up being 6th in total.

On topic: Haven't touched the car yet.

Never tried that thing. But I was amused to see it online at some muscle-car races. Think they just hopped into it cause they hadn't another properly tuned car. So the RTR-X didn't have a chance against my 999PP Charger.

After wining it from the Muscle Car Championship, I tried the RTR-X for the Modern B races, which i still have to finish a few of. It's only B1270, so it's not exactly a rocket on wheels. What impressed was the handling. I lowered the camber and tyre pressure (drift tune, I assume?) and it appeared to be very well handling.

I was a bit shocked to find that this thing is a real corner carver and has incredible stopping power.

As for the aestetics, it sounds pretty darn good and, personally, I like that over the top look.

Overall, a very nice car. I'll have to get some lap times to compare with other stuff, though. Haven't done that yet.

I just took this car for a spin around Dubai in the Modern B event. This car surprised me. If it weren't for the fact that I really liked driving it I would have been very disappointed with it.

After hearing those over the top 'look how cool I am' comments from the muscle Rival and looking at the over the top styling of this car you'd expect this car to be as subtle as its driver. You'd expect this car to be a straight line brute that you'll never get around a corner. I was prepared to wrestle this car from start to finish, but instead it was a relaxed drive.
The amount of muscle is a little disappointing (since this car is won in the muscle event) and I was very surprised to enter the first corner in 5th place even though I started in 3rd. Ok, no perfect launch, but 2 cars passing me!?
The nice handling and grip in corners made up for the bad muscle though and after the first corner I was in 3rd again, battling with the number 2 Somewhere in the first lap I took first place and kept it. I will definately drive this car again.

Well, according to some actual trends in rebuilding old cars, I think the RTR-X isn't comparable to classic muscle cars. It is a modern chassis with a modern engine and drivetrain beneath the polished hood of a classic car. No surprise to me that it might feel more like a Shelby GT than a Pony.

Maybe it is my lack of knowledge in this field that made me surprised then.
Whenever I see one of those Discovery shows they always brag about the enormous engine they put in the car and they never show anything but donuts and straight line speed.... That's my reference on (refurbished) muscle cars :D

I suppose you could just ram him every chance you get, He took me out on lap 1 of laguna seca, so I restarted and totalled him on the first corner.

Cheap thrills and an even cheaper win
