Hey dudes, and girls ofc, i wanted to share my project with u people :)
I bought it the 25th August 2010, it's a mustang coupe from 1967. It has atm a 351C Engine which preduces about 305hp. This wont be finished tomorrow, it takes time, and im only 15, so it takes time to get money ^.^ Well here is a video of it 👍

Great job , Good to see a young guy saving a classic.

Im rebuilding a 63 nova ss myself. Keep up the good work

Thanks guys :D Changed my mind about the color, I want to paint it in its original color :)

Heres one for you. This is my buddy steves car. Has had it almost 30 years now. You can tell what era it was built in...lol

@ryan: Thanks buddy :D
@chevy: Please tell me that that is the stang's frontbumper?! That ruined the car :(

He was 12 when he got this car, was in the late 70s and he saw a car on tv. That had a close front end and begged his dad to help him build it. His dad built it out of steel and it looks ok I guess for what it is. Had a 302 bored out and a 4 speed 4 11 rear gears and big fenderr flares on the back..

Was kinda what theye were doing in the late 70s around here ... Not my thing but to each his own ...

No, it doesn't look okay, it looks hideous and is an abomination in the eyes of the (Mustang) Lord.

But it is unique and not my taste at all, everyones taste is not the same.. And it does stand apart from every other cookie cutter mustang out there... No disrespect to the mustang guys , But mustangs and camaros are everywhere.. Im glad
V8loverrr has good enough taste not to buy a fox body...

So on a different note, Are you gonna run torque thrust on your car ? They look great on the car in that pic

In the same post you talk about cookie cutter Mustangs and Torque Thrusts?

And your point? Torque thrusts Are some of the best wheels ever made. Unlike this 22 inch bull people are stuffing under classic muscle today . They need to have the right to own a muscle car revoked..And if you look and READ it , I was talking about fox body cars and camaros also... There everywhere .. He has a cool car and I am sorry V8loverrr for posting this nonsense on your thread....

Yup I gonna put torque thrust on my stang, i just love them! :)
You said: But mustangs and camaros are everywhere
I guess you live in the states, put i've never seen a old camaro here, i just know a guy who has 7 old mustangs, but have never seen one on the street. Old cars are rare in my country, the people here only drive those lame Benzes or Beamers, only cool guys here drive american cars, old or new

Yes I do , live in indiana . Thats why I found my 63 nova . They are not a common car here. Tons of camaros . heck my uncle has 2 . A 68 Z/28 and a 69 Z/28 . A guy at work has a 73 Z/28 a buddy has a 71 RS Split bumper camaro. thats not counting probably 25 or so you see running around this little town. And fox bodycars are everywhere. I wanted somthing a little off so I saw that little 1960 fiat bianchina and bought it . No one around here has ever seen one in person, kinda funny when they look at it and scrath thier head and ask what it is...

Ye've got an old Fiat as well? dang. I didn't have a car until I was 16, and that was a '92 Plymouth Voyager my Parents owned. XD

Never driven a 4BBL headed 351C that wasn't a dog in the low end. Even 426cid strokers, still puttin' my foot in it to go. I prefer Ford Aussie 2V closed chamber heads myself, but you're capped at about 550HP to the crank... 👎

CHI 3V or the Parker tounges for the 4V heads, or lots of epoxy. 👍

Nice ride though!

You'll want some lumpy cams too, love older v8s that can hardly idle, sounds fantastic :) Good work with the car man!

Yea I love it too until you can only pull 4 inches of vacuum if you're lucky, and you need to convert to a hydra-boost, electric vacuum pump or manual brake booster.

Lots of overlap and low compression ratios are a disaster waiting to happen. Cook the exhaust valves right out of the motor from 1700F+ EGT's. I've seen a lot of people run dual pattern (split duration camshafts) on motors where the exhaust port flows so efficiently it's worthless to run the extra 4-6 degrees of exhaust duration.

IMO custom grinds are the only way to go. Suited to exactly what you're doing. You can also get the information from the cam manufacturer prior to choosing your lobes. You can get an idea of what your seat timing and low lift duration figures will be before you even get and degree your cam. Lots of people degree their cam at the lifter, we check these figures strictly to make sure the grind is close to what we spec'd for the grind before we go any further. But once you take into account pushrod deflection and rocker arm manufacturing variables (rocker ratios not being exactly 1.6/1.7/1.8 as advertised) your figures change. Always final degree @ the valve, you won't be sorry. Motor doesn't care what the lifter is getting, only the valve...

Mmmmm. That thing is coming along good. Any plans on building the motor up? Cleveland's are definitely the way to go if you want a small block even though I'm partial to the Windsor.

I will be following this build for sure. I just got rid of a LOT of 67 Mustang parts to the scrap yard for scrap metal. Wish I would have seen this thread before doing that. Might have been able to send you a few.

What are your plans for this build? Stock, drag, daily driver, pro touring, autocross, or road track? If you have any questions about this build, feel free to ask. I currently have a 67 Fastback.
