What does a stage 3 weight reduction consist of? Didn't realize weight reduction happened in stages outside of gran turismo.

Looks good 👍 Those tails really make pre LCIs look much better. I like those wheels more in silver though, they look more elegant IMO. What BBK do you have? Post some more pics to get a better look.

Here is your silver motortrend ;)
btw; what did you mean by BBK?

Why do these rims look like a bad photoshop attempt? I mean, for a guy with a Skyline R34 with a Bugatti badge for a signature, you seem to have high aspirations, and absolutely 0 taste.

And, don't say it's a budget build, either. It's a BMW, with a bunch of those unnoticeable look-bad add-ons. (carbon fiber interior inserts?)

:grumpy: Why did you change a beautiful car?

Nice car. ;)👍

In your opinion, I see nothing wrong with them.

Wow, how polite. Who are you to define what is tasteful or not?

Again, what gives you the right to judge taste?

:grumpy: Why did you change a beautiful car?

Because it's his car, his money, and Erm....he wanted to(?)

My tastes are easily accounted for:

When a car's that nice, to start with, you don't have to add carbon fiber. It's nice to start with. Putting the BBK and such is cool, because it makes it safer (unless you get bump steer with your sway bars,) but... the darkened rims, taillights, etc., all just make your car blend in more. It no longer stands out as a stunningly beautiful creation that BMW engineers (not exactly slouches as far as standards go) spent millions designing.

But, indeed, it's his money... I can't tell him where to spend it. I can just remind him that his BMW is always going to look good, and every penny he spends making it look better isn't necessarily working.

Well if that was my car, all I'd do is just add an exhaust, some big racing rims, carbon front and rear lip and a suspension full upgrade. But then again, to each his own, and that's a way of expressing himself.

You don't go around judging people because of the music they listen to, do you?

Yeah, forget that Those are the tails used in the touring cars, Because Those are crap right? As far as the fake carbon and black wheels go interior carbon does as much to shed weight as what you had for breakfast and vinyl overlays are a cheap option to something that won't add performance anyway. As for the wheels and trim those are not permanent either and it's not a bad way of changing the look without any consequences. In my opinion it does look better in silver but you can't say the car look like crap just because of some easily removable stuff that doesn't hinder performance in the least.

Wow some people. #cruel #lol

1. My black wheels WAS NOT a photoshop. That's the real deal. I wanted to test out the plasti-dip. ITS REVERSABLE and PEELS off!!!
2. I wanted my BMW all blacked out, get out my a$$.
3. The vinyling on my car; Was as a simple project that I found interesting. (What did I learn? I can vinyl wrap and entire car. I vinyled my bmw matte white last summer...)
4. Your opinion is your opinion.
5. My "signature" is an attempt of re-creating my mk3 jetta front end with my FK headlights.
6. To: MrMelancholy15 ; what do you drive little boy?

Enjoy your day :)

A stock 3-series is a stunningly beautiful creation of high engineering magnitude?

!

You really have to think a bit more through what you're posting on this website, as your attitude really doesn't come off as being nice. Weren't you the one wanting to add a carbon-fibre hood with a scoop because you wanted to autocross your Impreza?

His BMW has black rims and blacked-out taillights, how is that ruining a BMW when those parts do not differ design-wise from what originally was on the car?

Back on-topic: Nice car! I actually think BMW's look better with those dark taillights. 👍

You picked the worst possible shot of the E9x 3-Series to try and prove your point.

I like the look of the OP's 3'er though I'm partial to the silver wheels as well rather than the matte-dipped.

Thanks kindly Dennisch.

Hey Andrew, post a photo of your automatic subaru that u "race in".. Curious to see it. & what do i need to do to join your professional racing team? How long have u been "pro"? Im the 8th person to "like" your professional racing facebook page. Cool!

I don't have to post anything. It's my opinion, I'm entitled to it, and Dennisch is still on probation. Just tossing it out there.

And it's his car and he can do what he wants to it. He doesn't need you to come in here to tell him he has done it wrong, and he should have done X and Y just because you want him to.

You went into the Infield a while ago to whine and moan about being targeted on this website, and then say the stuff you have in this thread. You don't help yourself do you.

Nice car, was it easy putting on the plasti dip? I want to do it for my winter rims next season and I don't have much experience with this (or any other spray paint)

poolhass. its really simple.youtube it :)

Well, whenever you're ready. I'm down to see how a professional race car subaru looks like developed by a professional race team .:dunce:

Do yourself a favour, stop hating on my opinion. I'm allowed to voice it, and what I say goes for truth in my own mind. You can think whatever you want, I'm done with your ugly BMW.

Now now children.

Mr Mel, everyone is indeed entitled to their opinion, but it's all in the delivery as to whether it makes them look like a self indulgent rude little prick or someone with taste offering their thoughts. You were the former, by the way.

You copped some crap because of your car but that was because of your attitude. You think you know it all and your taste is superior and aren't willing to listen to reason or opinions from others.

The fact that you have a page set up waxing lyrically about your skills as a race car builder that is currently 'unopen for business', offering words of not-so-much-wisdom about what needs done to make a real race car, when you clearly have NO IDEA about even the fundamentals of mechanical work speaks volumes of your character.

Get over yourself and you will learn that people get on with you a lot more.

On topic: That plasti dip looks like something I might put on my SSR's one day to see if I like the look..
