GT Sport : BoP (Gr.3 Class)
I'm making some tests about BoP in the Gr.3 class. Played around the Interlagos track, which is, for me, a good indicator of the BoP ranking. Of course, this is not an official ranking, this is MY ranking, about how the car feels, and trying the best I can do with each of those cars. Times are not optimals but the closest I can get playing only 15min for each car. I think 0.3sec (or sometimes more/less) can be found for each of them.
Time of day is set to 1:45 PM.
Racing Hard are the tires choosen.
Setups are stock.
Aids are off, expect ABS.
I tried only with 10 cars, I'll try with the others during the weekend and update the ranking.

Here are my impressions :
1st : Dodge Viper SRT GT3-R '15 (1'30.795)
Sector 1 and 3 are made for the Viper. Her highest top speed enables to gain some tenths. The grip and the brakes are good enough to don't lose much time in Sector 2. There is only one problem : understeer. The Viper has a very high torque, and accelerations may be hard if you push too much (a bit of oversteer too). But her nice stability makes the driving quite easy.
2nd : Mercedes AMG GT GT3 '16 (1'30.817)
This car is very well balanced. A little understeer but you feel it only if you push very, very hard. The main grip is good, but not enough to get 1st place of this ranking.
3rd : Hyundai Genesis Gr.3 (1'30.987)
My usual car for this category. This is a very nice mix between speed, grip, stability, and brakes. A little oversteer at low speed, common to Gr.3 cat', but I have here a good compromise for every track.
4th : Jaguar F-Type Gr.3 (1'31.051)
A great car, but with oversteer at low speed. The brakes are not the best we can found in the cat', but they are enough to don't lose time.
5th : Audi R8 LMS '15 (1'31.090)
I was stuck a long moment at 1'31.3xx, but after changing the brakes balance (3/Rear), the R8 showed a new potential. I pushed hard for this time, it's very hard to improve compared to others cars (I think about the Atenza first.)
But the car has a great grip, and no understeer/oversteer (well, a bit, but less than the general Gr.3 cat').
The problem is the stability on the high bumps. The car easily lose control when elevation changes.
Otherwise, sub 1'31 would be possible much easily.
6th : Corvette C7 Gr.3 (1'31.119)
Probably the car I spent the less time. The car feels well at the 1st try. Great top speed (need to clutch earlier than others cars), great grip, good stability. Oversteer, but easy to recover. Sub 1'31 is a matter of time.
7th : Subaru WRX Gr.3 (1'31.188)
Very hard car to control but with nice capacities. This Sub has a great grip and Sector 2 could be under her domination. I said « could » because the oversteer and stability make the car hardest to control. Pretty unstable, the car feel uncomfortable at low corner speed. Shame, because the car has a great potential.
8th : Ford Mustang Gr.3 (1'31.198)
American's style. Very high top speed, but lowest grip. But not that much because her sector 2 is not so bad, the stability of the car helps a lot. Very confident driving it, I'm not afraid to press the accelerator pedal earlier than others cars.
9th : Porsche 911 RSR (991) '17 (1'31.232)
And this is weird. The Porsche is considered as the fastest Gr.3 car, almost in every Top 10 Daily Races, but I can't do a decent time with it. The car is unpredictable, I'm not confident while driving. Sure it has more potential than the time setted, but I have some fears at almost every turn. The top speed is not very high, certainly because of long gear ratio.
10th : Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 '13 (1'31.236)
Someone asked me to try this car... Thanks you, worst idea ever lol
The car is a complete mess. Oversteer is how the car works. Oversteer at low speed, high speed, oversteer everywhere ! I don't feel that the grip is better than others cars. Of course, if you're mastering well the ****ing oversteer, you can sub 1'31. But that's not my kind of driving. I like a little (important to exit some turns), but with a lot, it's like a never-ending battle with the car. I don't get fun, neither performance.
11st : Toyota FT-1 VGT Gr.3 (1'31.242)
The Toyota feels like the Hyundai, with a bit more oversteering and lowest grip. I think it's a good car for every track.
12nd : Mazda Atenza Gr.3 (1'31.296)
Another « Hyundai-like ». A little more oversteering than the Toyota make her lose some tenths. But it clearly has more potential (higher top speed). Maybe more than the Hyundai.
13rd : Honda NSX Gr.3 (1'31.347)
Maybe I worked harder for this car because it is my favourite. The car is uncompetitive. But with the new update (1.12), the stability and oversteer are almost fixed. Still some fear at braking (maybe can be adjusted with brakes managing) and accelerating. The overall performance of the car is still too much low. Need +1-2% in Power and -1-2% in Weight.
14th : Peugeot VGT Gr.3 (1'31.360)
Another potential wasted. Higher top speed of the ten cars, the car has the poorest braking of the ten too. Then add a very unstable comportment, too much oversteer and you have a car which you don't feel comfortable. Shame, because the grip is OK, and enough to do great times !
15th : GT by Citroën Race Car Gr.3 (1'31"379)
A good car but with poor stability at low speed. The main grip is better than a lot of cars of this cat', but Sector 2 is pretty hard with it. Surely a better car with a setup.
16th : BMW M6 GT3 '16 (1'31.407)
Right after the Ferrari, I tried the BMW. Worst idea ever again ! So unpredictable comportment. The oversteer come when you don't expect to. The overall grip is good, and braking too. But I can't drive with that kind of cars. It's hell.
17th : Renault R.S.0.1 GT3 '16 (1'31"480)
The lowest top speed of the category. The Renault lose a lot of time in Sector 1 and 3. Oversteer is another problem, so the car can't compete against others contenders.
