Hi guys
Long time no post. I've just been lurking for a while.. this isn't so much my GT4 cockpit since I dont have a adaptor so i can use my monitor for my PS2 but it does include a DFP đź’ˇ
It's all I ever wanted my first to be, But the first one certainly didnt turn out like this. This one is no only more sturdy, but it gives you a MUCH better feel of a real car.. But my only complaint- Shifter is a tad too high and too close to driver (back too far) .. I will fix this sometime. Also in works is a handbrake and button box..
The cockpit is around 23 1/2 inches high- 44 inches wide and just shy of 60 inches long. There's so much room in it! It's build with table tops (scored them for 4 dollars each! at the Bush funiture Factory. (total cost- 4x 7= 20 bucks)
I plan on carpeting the whole thing just to give it a more stylish look. Along with a new Shifter plate (yeah, the H-shifter looks like it has been through the war, Which it actually has.. I've been banging gears with this thing for over a year and it's never broken once! now if that's not sturdy I don't know what is!) It has it share of paint-dust-and dirt on it but I call it "battle scars"
the wheel is obviously a Logitech DFP, the clutch- is an old Thrustmaster Nascar wheel. I had to mount it upside down because I completely broke the gas pedal. I plan on building my own pedals after I finalize my design and build a prototype.
I don't have and bass shakers yet- persay. But I do have a 75watt RMS 10" Powered home subwoofer behind my seat that gives me a GREAT feeling in LFS ( You can actually FEEL the RB4 you take it through the RPM range, It's wonderfull) The other one is a 360watt JVC Minisystem I've had forever- It works great. And no-That's not an aleinware computer, Just a Raidmax Case đź‘Ť
Sorry to ramble on people. Here are the pictures now.
