Decided to start building one of these because they are way too over priced online. Hasnt cost me much so far but i havent even bought the wheel yet

Originally wanted to do proper joints but would of taken way too long when straps do the job just as well, also wanted to get a bucket seat but the whole point of building was to keep costs down.
Seats fully adjustable.
Still a work in progress, I plan to cover the whole frame with thin black sheet pvc and add a mount for inverted pedals when i get my G25 ;)
oh and a drinks holder is in the pipeline too ;)
Got the measurments of the g25 online as well so it should fit when i get it:scared: At least i can use it as a cool seat until i get my wheel

Costs-

5 lenghts of 3x2 pine - 25euro
Straps, screws, nuts & bolts - around 10euro
Seat from 02 focus - 25euro
G25 soon enough hopefull 100 - 120(used)

All thats left now is GT5 to come out

Well done on getting this far and keeping costs so low.
Some plasttics can be expensive have you priced yet for the sides?

The brackets used for joining can be hid easily enough with whatever you use to cover the frame with maybe even plywood?

Regards the G25 maybe you should hold out a little to see what price the new Fanatec wheel will be because with all its extra features it should be worth the extra but it depends if you want a G25 to use to modify I suppose?

Thanks for the comments,

Well the pvc plan was to hide the brackets and not too sure about pricing but the wheel comes first anyway ;)

Really got my mind set on the g25 from all the reviews and the fact that i can invert the pedals which is really cool i think.
Havent heard much about the new fanatec, is it modifiyble(probaly spelt wrong:lol:)

Nice work 👍 Have you thought about on what angle the wheel will be settling? As most of the wheels I know have quite a lot of angle "built in" just something to consider before finishing it off, you might want to fit some wheel in it and see how it feels 👍

Well I built it so it can be easily taken apart or adjusted to suit when i get the wheel its all screws except the seat which is bolts but thats adjustable anyway. Probaly should of got the wheel first:lol: but so bored at home now that the job is gone! At least im putting my free time to good use ;)
