My DR is not working.

Hi guys. I recently started playing sport mode. I won 3 races in a row and my SR got to A, but my DR is still at E and the bar did not even move a little. What can I do?

Check your ratings on http://www.kudosprime.com/gts/stats.php?profile=XXXXXXX (put your 7-figured profile ID from www.gran-turismo.com instead of the Xs).
If you won vs other DR E drivers you might have collected too few points to rise in rank. Keep playing
Another thing is that sometimes it takes a little while for your profile to update. If in doubt always force a save to be sure that the savegame is up to date with your most recent progress, chances are everything has been updated when you log in the next time.

Bare in mind that works on a ranking base.
If you are winning against drivers with very low ranking, you will collect fewer points, progress is slow.
I was fast to get out of "E" without winning any race, stuck in "D" since then, despite winning two races on "D" level.
Once, for example, on a race whit DR "D" and "C" paired players, the guy who won was a "C" level" and it was is first win, according with the screen post race. And the guy was pretty fast. I guess he had "bad luck" being paired with strong rivals, didn't had much chances of winning races, but good finishes against fierce opposition granted him good points.

PS.: in my experience, sometime ago I had a couple of days off, realized in the mornings on weekdays, the opposition level is pretty low on european region, easy to get good results (in my case that didn't do much for my DR rating either), I guess fewer players and younger ones online.

That doesn't seem to be the case at all, at least for lower levels. You get just as many points winning a race at E as you do at D and C. You just need more of them to go up levels. You'll get out of E with 1,000pt or if you just do five races, but to graduate from D you need 4,000pt, and from C you'll need 10,000pt.

The trick is to place high in large fields, so anywhere from 10th and above in 20 car races.

SR will limit your progress too. It seems that if you don't have an SR rating at least equal to your new DR rating, the game holds you back from going up to the new level until you do - so you need SR C to go up from DR D to DR C - although you can have a DR level higher than your SR if you then lose SR points.

@Famine
It seems a fact SR has to be equal or better to DR. So no point in targeting higher DR levels without upgrading your SR before.

It was apparent to me that the DR of opponents had influence on the points we would collect from a certain race. But I guess I was wrong about it.

Just had a few races against an alien who stayed at DR E, despite three wins in a row. Guess it's just a new profile, though, and will start getting promoted before very long.
