EDIT: I added the car model/year at the end of the post.

Hi, guys. I wanted to recount a recent experience I had with what is one of the rarest and most obscure car brands to exist: Morse by Easton Machine Company (1901-1916).

So, a few days ago my mother came up to me and told me about a car being displayed in town, and I asked her what it was.

"It's an old Morse. They used to make them in town." In town, huh? Note: I live in Easton, Massachusetts. Just so you guys know where EMC was based.

This previous Saturday, June 18, I had the day off from work so I just went about my business. Visited the library, tended to my dogs, etc. And when I was winding down from my errands, my mom came up to me and told me there was an old car up by the train station. I just decided to go check it out. When I got there, it turned out to be the Morse!

And they started it up for us! I was told at the time that it was built in 1910.

I went home feeling impressed, and then yesterday I found out it's the only known Morse that still runs. There are two total in existence, and the other of the two is still in town. According to what I have found, the Morse in the pictures and video is a Morse Runabout Model B, circa 1907. The other Morse is a rear-engined Runabout Model A built circa 1902.

What do you guys think of the Morse?
