So my local track doesn't exist as Mod, and probably would never.

Have no experience, I thaught, why not.

The Track is the Goodyear Center Test Track in Colmar Berg, Luxemburg.

And this is where I am at the moment.

I did a curve, path around the inner edge of the road, overlap, then the outer edge of the road.

Then I added alltitude points (the real ones) to the 100+ curve points I had, giving it the right alltitude throuout the track.
And because inner and outer edge were done seperately, even the camber in the bends should be near the real thing.

Now on putting textures on it.

Then the road edges will be done. alternating between ditches, curbs and rails. Like what exists on the real one.

Then the terrain around it.......

So much to do

Tried to do something like it myself, didnt progress very far... cus i found it too hard to do (and maybe a lack of willpower) :/ but anyways, goodluck on the project, always nice to see people make their own creations :) never even known there was a racetrack in Luxemburg. Will be following the progress :)
Good luck

Yes I will be updating this as the project progesses.

I found some tutos on yt, one project going from start to finish, but with new programs, the learning curve is steep, but till now I did found ways to resolve my problems, and blender being widely used, google spouts out lots of answers.

So a small update

Curbs. Back edge 12cm high from the road. With an shoulder in the middle

On the right, the very simple grid I use for elevation points. making a considerable distance between 2 points (a +- 50-200m), then I subdivide that edge and have a basic elevation terrain, according to the hights of google earth (taking them in feet instead of meters, making it 3 times as accurate :D ) Then from there I take my footage from the place and model the smaller stuff
