My G25 wont work with Grand Turismo 4

Just like my title says...My G25 wont work with grand turismo 4...The only thing that works is the gas and break pedal.But there not used used for accelerating,or braking..there being used as X and O and i have no clue on how to set it up for Grand Turismo 4.Can someone please help me.Thnx
